I think that it's because he lost his identity and was known as "britney spears' boyfriend" so he cheated on her cause he thought that it would make him look more strong and masculine and independent, which really made him just look like an asshole

Britney isn't going to dump her guy based off a rumor. They do some investigation but they probably have generic legal papers already mocked up for such things. It is upsetting how common it is in this world how nice people get taken advantage of. So many people mistake kindness for weakness. What would truly break my heart is if she lost her loving sweetness due to the cruelty she has experienced...but I know it's genuine bcuz she remains such a sweet woman after all. She is ultimately one of the more positive people in this world, and any man who doesn't love a sweet woman is unworthy of her love It is so much more David's loss

That irks the shit out of me. For all you know, it had nothing to do with that & he was just drunk, 28, and there was an attractive woman around so he went for it. People try to think of these so-called deep & maybe somewhat understandable reasons for cheating when in the end, it is 99% of the time just that the person does not respect the relationship that he is in and that is exactly why you dump that person immediately.

I HATE david and HATE cheating (which is why i always stand up for justin) so i'm not trying to justify what he did. I'm just discussing an interesting possibility since everyone is asking "why would someone cheat on a girl like britney spears?"
