I Think They Should Give Britney Less Choreo

Before dragging, but I'll explain

 

She has tons of choreo on the show and you can tell she concentrates a lot to do all of them. But, she half asses a lot of them, mostly the simple ones! She halfasses those probably because she can get away with them. Whereas with MATM, Gimme More, Break the Ice, BOMT, which are relatively difficult, she is required to do them at least kinda good because it'll be too clear if she doesn't do them.

 

I feel like to get her out of her shell more, they shouldn't choreograph it so strictly. Like, just make her dance when it's full out dancing, but don't control even her arm movements and stuff. I LOVE seeing her just acting out and freestyle Toxic, which she doesn't get to do for most of the show.

I get what you mean. But the first point is to get rid of the wigs. And then yeah, she should have in certain songs moments to just move around the stage. But dice onyx she has everything scripted so I don't think it's gonna change.

Her walking won't be that fierce and stuff like on DWAD, but who knows.

I would love her to freestyle a bit, but now if She has an occasion, she would probably do something rly basic or maybe nothing.

I wouldn't prefer them over good dancing but I'd prefer them over lazy dancing.

Well, I'd hope it'll be a chance for the choreographers to train her with her attitude and swag again. They don't have to critique her execution so they can just egg her on to be nasty mommy bitch. Like I said, she does well in Toxic and even Freakshow.

No, I think the problem is not the amount of choreo she was given. Is the choreo itself. Those choreographers need to be fired ASAP. It seems like they were sent by Christina Aguilera or something. The problem with their choreos, is that they're just robotic, antinatural moves, that doesn't look anything similar to dance moves. That's why she seems more concentrated in counting the steps, instead of dancing, because you can't feel like dancing while doing that "choreo". It's just so stupid, and so, antinatural, again. Not even the backup dancers look good doing them. Even some of the moves while she's sitting on the chair during Slave, they look so forced, so fake, because they don't have any sense. They should have keep Britney doing the moves she wanted to do. She can improvise a better routine than that thing, that took them months to learn, because is just so impossible. The choreographer from Slave or the one from Circus / Womanizer should have been hired instead. They know Britney, her body, her style and what she likes and what kind of moves flatter her. Even Britney herself could have made her own routines, like she did with Mannequin.

What I can't word. Thank you. Britney's always had a kinda robotic style, though, but this kinda comes off weird. Maybe she's not doing it right? Stronger is the only un-Britney choreo I see in the show and maybe Do Somethin'. If she has a harder time retaining choreo with emotion like before, I truly feel she should cut some off, and just leave in the big dance ones like MATM/BTI/BOMT. The rest she could make more spontaneous.

 

Or like another poster @carlitos'crib mentioned, put in other performance concepts, aside from choreography overload! Britney's never danced an entire show and has always been a bit reliant on prod on some numbers. That's where Circus Tour shined with the magic tricks, Piece of Me, Get Naked, Touch of My Hand... all of those gave her some room to breathe choreo-wise, allowed spontaneity, but were still very entertaining.
