"the Music A Person Hears In Childhood Will Affect The Musical Preference Of That Person As An Adult"

The first two songs I ever heard AND knew the names off were Circus and Womanizer

Britney's impact :crying1:

But seriously though

My sister used to take care off me a lot, and she'd play songs that were popular back then aka Britney etc :bomt:

So basically, the fact that I'm here is all thanks to my sister :paper:

I listened to a lot of country music as a kid, thanks to my mom (the "good" country, IMO: Shania, Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Tim McGraw, John Michael Montgomery), but I'm not into country music today. Except '90s country.

But they played Top 40 songs on the bus for school, so I was exposed to that as a kid. And obviously Britney was in the Top 40. So I heard a lot of her music, plus I got her CDs and listened to those all the time.

My daughter is 3 1/2 and listens to pretty much only Britney. I've always got one of her CDs in the car and she's always singing along to it.

How old are you? 8?! :umomg::wahlykeomg:

Hahaha, yeah, when I was a little kid, maybe 3-5 years, my cousins used to play a lot of pop music for me, in spanish, like Fey, Onda Vaselina, Kabah, Shakira, and some english music as well, like Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls. The last influence they gave me was Britney Spears when she came out in 1998. From then on I've always preferred pop music over any other kind. And that's why I'm still a fan, because Britney (just like Pokémon) is like a part of my childhooh that has been growing up with me. I think, in a different universe, if I never met Britney on her early years, probably, I would have never became a fan, let's say with Blackout or Femme Fatale, maybe Circus, but I'm not that sure :mahhaw:

I firmly believe this. If I didn't hear "Toxic" back in 2004 when I was 8 years old, I don't think I'd be as big a fan as I am today. I know this may sound dramatic, but it changed my life.

MFTE!!

it's like you just wrote that about me!  :omg:

You expect 2 year olds to know a song and it's name (and how you write it)? :jackk:

:gloria: lol.

Well, my parents listened to a lot of rock music when I was a kid, that did reflect me somehow. I mean, I love listening to rock and alternative rock but I prefer pop. In 2007 my parents divorced(so many bad things happened that year :crying2: ) and when I listened to rock I used to get mad and also started biting my nails. The divorce reflected on me so much that kinda changed me. I had to grow up. So I started listening to Linkin Park, they helped me a lot. In 2008 we got a music channel on our TV, so I heard a LOT of new songs including Britney. Till 2009 I never heard a single thing about her when suddenly Womanizer appeared. Everybody was so obsessed with the song and the video and then again didn't hear a single word about her till 2011 when I heard TTWE. I started searching about her old songs and discovered that I liked every single of them. Aaand shortly after that I got obsessed with Britney and suddenly became a stan. Around Britney I found what's going on with the music industry, illuminati and stuff like that. I am very polite, kind and funny thanks to Britney, Linkin Park and my Parents. :) :) :)

All of you make me feel so old :crying1: I can't believe I have the same age as Britney when she released In the Zone. I remember I was a little kid and used to see her as an adult woman doing her stuff. But I still feel like a kid :lolll: I'm very immature :umad:
