LiaLovesGodney Posted September 4, 2014 #1 Report Posted September 4, 2014 Hi, y'all! I got bored and decided to draw up some designs for Britney's Vegas show. My drawing skills are very rusty and I kind of came up with the concepts of each costume as I went along (So just focus on my over all idea. Not the details). Be nice and tell me what you think! I'm open to sketching any of your suggestions, too! Slave-purple/fuschia color with black lace and sheer chiffon attached to the back of the shorts. As she would do the Slave choreo in full (in my dreams) the chiffon pieces would flow around and the purple would look great under the lighting for that section. Also, I wanted her to NOT wear black and stand out from her dancers. Shoes: (or something similar and with a much lower wedge so she can dance) Gothic (BOMT/OIDIA)- My least favorite of the three I drew, this leotard-esque number is pretty similar to what she's wearing now, but with a bit of blue added and sexy straps and gloves. Shoes: Toxic- This leotard is cool because I'd want the top part to be detachable and be able to go with pants, leggings, shorts, etc. I made it a more elaborate version of her dancers' costumes for the jungle section. The costume she wears in real life doesn't really match her dancers or the have much color. Imagine it very sparkly. Oh, and Ombreney coming to slay. :Iconic2: Shoes: 1

My drawing skills are not that great, so my ideas obviously did not translate very well on paper. youre good....I like your ideas...dont let someone get you down creativity is what counts the most and dont shit on your drawing skills, just keep drawing and enjoy what you do...eventually you will grow more and more I used to say I couldnt draw, and my artist friend saif "you know why?"...and I was like no...and he said: cuz you havent really tried or truly practiced. So I started literally right then and there taking it seriously and my skills have become MUCH better as for a suggestion...it would be cool to design a mask, just for fun...then maybe you can base a costume on the mask I think you could draw faces if you keep practicing. Like fill a page w just faces over and over...even just noses, eyes, mouths, etc.

So just keep going and have fun w it. There may be community art classes outside of campus, and you can get lessons online or use youtube instructions also, in case you cant use credits towards art. Your school probably has an art club or something too
