My Piece Of Me Experience 8-31-14

So I just got back from my Vegas vacation today and decided I'd share my experience and a couple videos I took with you guys and gals.

 

I left for Vegas on the 31st and landed in Vegas around 4:30. I was so worried that I wouldn't have a good spot in GA because I probably wouldn't get to planet hollywood until about 5:30 or so after check in. I was staying at the Luxor down the strip. I went to check in immediately as I got into Vegas, met up with my best friend and then got my room key which didn't work TWICE. They had to change rooms for me so I was already annoyed cause time was passing so quickly. I ended up getting to the venue a little after 6pm, and to my surprise the line was super short. I met an awesome gal from France in line and ended up getting a spot right up front. They let us in at about 7:30 where were we had to line up once again. I walked quickly passed the part where they want to take your photo, and ended up maybe 9th or 10th in the second line.

 

When they started letting us into the pit area all the people in line were walking so calmly and weren't pushing or running to get a spot. As I got into the pit I did walk a little more quickly so I could for sure get right up front. The theater is quite nice and definitely larger than I thought. The whole waiting process was so surreal. Seeing this place on the Britney Jean documentary and then actually being there just didn't feel real. The venue quickly filled up and it looked completely sold out. 

 

So the show starts and I don't know how I remained so damn calm. Even now I'm not sure I still believe that I saw her live. This was my first concert ever and the experience was incredible. The show is incredibly entertaining and passes so quickly. By the time you know it she is already in the second and third sections. The sound in the theater is great and youtube videos do not do it justice. She is tiny in person just like everyone says and absolutely gorgeous. This was the show where she talked about her ex cheating on her, which I was not expecting. The crowd erupted in boooooo's! The audience that night was super into the show, you could hear the roars of people when she walked down the catwalk during womanizer. Her mic was on during the show because at one point before gimme more started you could hear her say "I'm fine" to one of the dancers. I'm assuming she was asked if she wanted to sip water. She danced quite well, although sometimes she looked a little winded and kind of just went through the motions. You could tell she was super into the show though, smiling and doing those cute little facial expressions. I can't even begin to tell you how close she gets to the GA section, at one point she stood directly in front of me and looked down right towards me. That definitely made me do the gay gasp. I had GA Left and she came over to our side quite a lot during the show, much more than the right and catwalk part. Show ended and then waited quite a bit for the crowd to filter out, there was soooo many people. 

 

Okay I think I've finished with this damn essay. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'm leaving out a ton of stuff but I didn't want this to go on forever. I did record Opening/Work Bitch, Scream & Shout, Gimme More/Break The Ice, & Till The World Ends but my phone was a dick and only saved the last two. I'm trying to figure out if I can recover the other two videos. Yes I do realize I recorded Gimme More in portrait instead of landscape but in the moment it felt like the best way to record it.
