R&b is my genre. Has been for 10 years (got a Ultimate r&b collection in 2004-has toxic on it) and since then have gotten Ne-Yos and Kanyes 2008 albums etc and really like some of Beyonces stuff that's r&b aswell.

So it'd make my compromise a bit easier haha. And maybe I wouldn't have to like Beyonce :byebitch:

No seriously, it's been my dream for years now. I listened to 'Brown Eyes' by Beyonce earlier actually and I was thinking how that type of song wouldn't be as much as a stretch from r&b/pop.

But I'd really like a strict r&b album from her tbh

See 'heartbreaker' by Mariah Carey even though that's kind of again a mix between r&b/pop

I love Rnb and could definitely see Britney doing some music with this style. She already has before.

For example:

Outta this World

Ouch

Why Should I Be Sad?

Rebellion

Early Mornin (kinda)

Welcome to Me (kinda)

Inside Out (kinda)

Outrageous

Britney could do any genre, tbh. Her voice is the type that sounds good against any background.

He About To Lose Me

Perfect Lover

Soda Pop :pieceofwhat:

Boys (Co-Ed Remix)

Slave

Me Against The Music

Toy Soldier

They're not necessarily urban but they're clearly urban influenced

:o thank you  I love indie R&B, it, along with minimalist & glitch, are my fave electronic music genres :) and if Brit releases a similar minimalist R&B opus, it'd reshape pop music and reaffirm her as an innovator IMHO. My ultimate dream is to see her favorably reviewed by Pitchfork :embarrassed: they already stan for her, writing a long praise for Blackout and stanning for OIDIA while they were dissing My Everything :teethless:

It would sound innovative!! Also an opportunity for Brit to write more personal lyrics. Tbh FF was very innovative for pop standards, but it just lacked a lot of good midtempos, R&B songs would've worked well there. How were Pitchfork's reviews for BJ?  :aww1:

I agree! But at least it did allow Britney to make a full album to exercise to :P

Pitchfork didn't write anything on BJ. In fact, they haven't formally reviewed any Britney album, except for when they realized Blackout's historic brilliance in "Poptimist: Britney Spears in the Black Lodge (Damn Fine Album)" by Tom Ewing, and even that review didn't have a numerical score. This is actually one of the biggest proofs of Pitchfork's standom, for they could've torn apart Britney Jean like they did when they gave RIhanna's Unapologetic a 4.5 out of 10.0 (an average album is a high 6 to a 7, exceptional reviews are 8 to 9). But no, they know their place and they know Britney's place as well: they know that Britney Spears is pop incarnate: the celebrity showgirl, the iconic chanteuse, the sexy girl next doahh. Considering they're all well-versed in music history (not just indie, but also pop as well), they're waiting for Brit to come out with next-level pop again to shower her with praise (they named the Femme Fatale Remix of Til The World Ends as one of the top 100 songs of 2011, coming in at #72 and outranking singles by well-established indie acts such as Washed Out, Cults and Grimes; described as "the best Britney single since Toxic")

Hmm, I don't know about a full R&B album. I want Britney to continue to make mostly Pop/Dance music records, but maybe continue to blend it with more influences of Urban, Rock, Country, Soul, R&B, etc. I want her to find a cool underground producer she clicks with and creates amazing music with.

I heard he's lazy now though :bomt:

He is tbh. Me. I Am Mariah got so little promo. I mean I'm not putting it all on him, Mariah could've done more too, but as a manager he should've been able to step up and say "We need to promote this album now!" :notimeforu:

That being said, Mariah Carey is my third favorite singer behind Britney and Madonna so I would be SO excited for The Emancipation Of BriBri :excited:
