I love house music (and adore Disclosure), but I don't think it's Britney's style. But if anyone can pull off a new genre, it's her.

Wow, it's like you read my mind because I wanted to say the exact same thing.   1. It doesn't really matter what kind of music she does, as long at it's innovative. I want Britney to be a trendsette

White Noise is good and I saw Aluna George and Disclosure perform it live at Reading. They were amazing!

I really don't like that style of music. It just sounds cheap and boring. The same noise and 3 lines repeating.

 

But they seem to smash and the general public love it.

People went mental for them, I had to be pulled out by security at their show because I was getting squashed to the barriers by the crowd and couldn't breathe :moorangu: I mean, they're already recording for Madonna so it wouldn't surprise me if they did something for Brinny.

And really? Can't really imagine Madonna on something like that... I guess we'll see.

YAAAAS! You are right, she has been always the best artist talkig about refreshing her career (madonna is really good doing that but she always has to be provocative to be on the top or thats what it seems, dont get me wrong, love madonna but thats the big difference between britney and her) and make new genre go to the top, but you know electronic music is the thing now but you can pick a really good one to least until the end of time, it usually gets boring

Madonna, most recently, has tried to change her style to fit into the latest trend. Britney sets new trends. If she is working with Disclosure (or whomever), they better produce some hits that set her apart from the rest. :queenflopga:

House music isn't a new genre?

 

That kind of music has been on the radio for years now (I think it's been around since the 80s?) and I'm sick of it tbh :gloria:

 

Makes me cringe whenever I hear it.

Totally agree, if she decides to go for house music, lets mix with different genres or something new from what house music is. The problem of BJ was that will.i.am tried to fit britney in the trends and he didnt know that britney is trend. Poor will

I'm desperate to hear some urban-ney just one more time. Or just something new. Rock, maybe. Or songs like Ouch, Peepshow, Over to You Now, Mona Lisa. Stuff you don't hear often.

House music is already being done and brought back actually.

Thats the big mistake, to think that i theres no big dance is a flop, blackout isnt really dance, is club and watch now, is on the list of the most influencial albums on the rolling stone list

Why not? I think she'll sound great with it.

 

UK house is amazing and Disclosure is great! Britney always smashes with such bops, too (as long as they're not shit like what will gave her). And dance music can contain personal lyrics too (see: Confessions on the Dance Floor).

Blackout is pure electro-pop and dance pop though? With some R&B elements.
