Excuse Me? Why Is Everyone Acting Like Britney Jean Is Shit? Why Is Everyone So Stupid?

I have and it isn't any better, imho. :boring:

She did, but it wasn't as poorly produced as it was on BMS, pertaining to the ballads. Compare it with the vocals on Everytime or even I'm Not A Girl and He About to Lose Me, and there is a clear difference.

"I want it all over you, I want to mark my territory"? :orangu: Is this the same girl who wrote Everytime, Someday, Let Go?

:drown: Have we even heard the same demo?

Mkay. Basically, you complain about her VOICE, but then when the counterargument is there, you just say the production isn't right?

Those lines aren't that horrid  :smokeney: But they're obviously not the best

It could have been saved with better production. The pulsating beat should have been replaced with something that was ascending. :yaknow: It's sad cause the verses had a lot of potential, but the chorus left me disappointed.

That's a good point.

And I can see how you would find the chorus disappointing, there could have been a bit more to it :mhm:

To me BJ is not shit, is just that i was expecting another thing, not EDM, and i think that this is the same feeling that almost all the B-Army has, that is why BJ failed.  :zoomzoom:

And I think that you shouldn't call to all of us stupid, you have to respect our opinions  :)

The one that says "not alone not alone not alone" over and over again, trying to pass it as a solid hook? :orangu:

I said vocals because it sounds badly processed in some parts where they obviously edited it to become baby vocals. I have to assume that because I'd hate for her voice to be that dreadful in real life.

I guess it just depends on the standards. If I'm gonna compare it with previous Britney ballad lyrics, it's bad. And sadly, if I compare it with ballads by other pop stars right now, it's still bad. Floptina recently had Say Something, Rihanna's Stay, John Legend's All of Me, When I Was Your Man, etc...

But as you can see, I have problems with the quality period, like a lot of fans. I don't care if it flopped, I still don't like Womanizer no matter how much it smashed.  :smokeney:

Myah did record vocals for Passenger tho  :mahhaw: even if you don't wanna see it or admit it. I TOTALLY LOVE  :bj: but it doesn't feel like a Britney album, it doesn't feel as her most personal one as she stated  :boring: "Britney" is her most personal one imo  :xf1: And the production is just not right. Britney needs to get rid of will.i.was and be herself the executive producer of the next album tbh  :britney-arrow:

they're just mad it didn't perform well on the charts and that britney didn't promote it as much as they think she should have. overall britney jean is a fantastic album and definitely in my top 3 from her

Because it is a weak album with a few standouts. Perfume had potential but the production is awful, Til It's Gone had potential but it sounds dated and repetitive, Body Ache had potential but they ruined it with the drop, Alien had potential but then comes the glitch and messy vocals and don't even get me started on Passenger which is only partially sung by Britney hence why we only got raw vocals from the verses and no chorus. BJ is a rushed album and rushed is never good. Work Bitch is one of her best songs though.

It's just not up to her standards, honest truth. I still listen to it a lot and like it, but it is weak mainly because of the production side. It feels as if they spent months getting Work Bitch right then rushed everything else and put the album together without giving a shit.

I really like BJ it could have been a lot better if it wasn't rushed ( production and using others vocals "Body ache" to be specific )

i still listen to WB, perfume, alien, hold on tight brightest morning star and Now that i found you (so high in my car when i drive it gives me orgasm ;) )

I probably listened to BJ more than FF besides the singles ( i watch the singles videos to increase the numbers :P )

Hold On Tight, I'll consider, but I don't know where to start with the other three.

Alien - the glitch, the annoying repetitive chorus, the lack of a proper bridge

Brightest Morning Star - the cringeworthy baby vocals all throughout

Perfume - the production, lyrics, lack of rhythm

WHOA WHAT??????????????

PRODUCTION?? : VIOLIN, PIANO

LYRICS: WAAAT!

RHYTHM?!!!!!!!: REALLYYYYYY???? I NEVER TELL, TELL ON MYSELF, BUT I HOPE SHE SMELLS MY PERFUME!!!!

I already elaborated on those points for not liking Perfume earlier here so take it or leave it ;)

funny. I remeber before BJ came out everyone was excited.

When passenger leaked everyone loved it

when perfume came out everyone loved it and praised the vocals,

but suddenly when the album didn't sell well, and mocking BJ was a 'cool thing" everyone jumped on that boat.

Talk about hipocrisy.

I know some people here REALLy don't like the album, but lbr,the majority just jumped on the boat while they were at it :queenflopga:

I love the album!

Could it be better? yes

but it's better than nothing

I still make some jokes on the album every now and then, but i don't act like it's the end of her carreer and that is a horrible album

that's just my 2 cents :tea:

Yeah I agree.. but not everyone feels that way. Some of us do like the album.

Some say it's not 'personal' enough or it's 99 percent Myah Marie which annoys me.  :4music:

BJ is personal! But I'm not gonna waste my time explaining why. I mean it's so obvious...

It is. I wasn't on exhale when it came out (or when some songs leaked), so i could made an opinion by myself and not by what people said.

About Passenger, at first i thought it was fake or just  a demo because i didn't recognize Britney's voice, since the beginning, so it really has nothing to do with the rumors since i didn't read anything before listening to it.

I never really liked Work bitch, it's not my type of music. I don't like electro music, Body Ache is inaudible, Tik tik boom seemed cool at first but then it's really annoying, the chorus is.. meh. The only good part is T.I part. Til it's gone would have been perfect if there wasn't that shitty electro on the chorus that ruins everything. Chillin with you is cool, i'm just AGAIN disappointed with the electro out of nowhere. Perfume instrumental is amazing, but lyrics are shit and childish (especially knowing it was written by Sia, i was HIGHLY disappointed when i listened to it). It should be easy is probably the only "dance" song that sounds finished and well produced, even if i don't really like electro music, that song is kinda fun.

Don't cry and Hold on tight are perfect. Alien is fine.

Brighest morning star is ok. Now that i found you, again, that electro music, i'm sick of it.

So yeah.. Just because you like it doesn't mean everyone likes it.

It is not the level of other Britney albums even bomt is better let's not compare Britney to basic bitches let's compare her to herself b/c she's in a lane of her own and b/o, Britney, itz, oops, circus, bomt, and ff are ashamed of bj...bj is different for all the wrong reasons unlike Britney's other records...they were ahead of their time or ATLEAST current...bj was/is/will always be dated and stale with half done production and vocals...a stain on her legacy and a total insult to her brand and flawfree discography(before it's release)...of course theirs a few songs i consider decent ONLY b/c of who is singin it...but do I think this album is a representation of Britney? no...should it have been better? Yes, there's no excuse for someone of her caliber to have such a shitty album...she has power and can get exclusive hits which she was gettin for what would have been the urban album...but I don't buy the "she didn't wanna promote so ppl took back hits" story her label wanted edm and it pissed Britney off so she had a "if I finish the song fine if not idgaf b/c y'all changed this shit at the last min". Attitude. the album suffered b/c of both the change and Britney's lack of fucks to give which tainted the listening experience for some fans such as myself...it didn't sound like a Britney record and the vocals clearly wasn't all Britney...which makes it seem parody/scam and I can't support that or encourage Britney to continue to be that dishonest...I'm glad it flopped so she doesn't have someone else sing for her again

:tea:

I'm glad it flopped because although it tarnishes her legacy, at least her team understands we won't stand for something so half assed. We love Britney, but we won't eat up everything she does. It looks like it has some effect because it seems like they're making an effort to get better producers, but we'll have to wait and see. :yaknow:

I don't give two fucks about these retards opinions on the album. I bought it because I love it and I love Britney to death.

It's a consistent album. When FF came out you were all comparing it to her last albums saying it was terrible but 3 years before most of you call it one of Britney's best albums.

This always happens. You never know what you got til it's gone.

Ironically, it does and I just realized it recently. I still don't like it, though  :orangu: It isn't even single worthy, but at least it doesn't sound like an unfinished demo. :orangu:

Of course, in spite of writing coherent reasons why we don't like BJ, people will still say we're just bandwagonning :orangu:

Nah. Everyone loved FF came out, and called it Blackout 2.0 :orangu: There were "generic" comments here and there, but the positive people outweighed the bad ones. Until now, people love it :yaknow:

With BJ, the fanbase seems more divided. :yaknow:

God Fatale has always remained God Fatale and I'd defend it to death.

They are just britards... There's no way they could make us seem like we don't know what were talking bout...this is BRITNEY SPEARS were talkin bout...I refuse to believe that the woman that gave us b/o and itz can't do better than bj and I refuse to believe Britney didn't notice herself how horrible bj was...she said if she doesn't love the song she doesn't record it...Theres no way she could have avoided laying down any vocals, but she clearly didn't love those songs enough to have her very own full versions of them :gloria:

Meh I don't really mind that people like it, but I really expected better. Even post-breakdown, I appreciated Britney's music, but with BJ, it was just a big step down. I've learned to accept Britney for what she is now as a performer, but until FF, I at least expected her music to be just topnotch pop. I was never disappointed till now.

I still like POM though and without it, it would be all over for me :boring:
