Excuse Me? Why Is Everyone Acting Like Britney Jean Is Shit? Why Is Everyone So Stupid?

First of all people were expecting the album to be like Blackout..

 

secondly people say it was lacklustered.. which is a lie.. I love Britney Jean.. i think its good like Prism..

 

thirdly because it flopped... if Work Bitch hit #3... people would go shit crazy over britney jean.. and if Alien was a single.. the fans would've been like britney slays your faves... If these things did happen Britney Jean would hit at 180k first week with 1 million copies sold WW which isnt a flop btw

Meh I don't really mind that people like it, but I really expected better. Even post-breakdown, I appreciated Britney's music, but with BJ, it was just a big step down. I've learned to accept Britney for what she is now as a performer, but until FF, I at least expected her music to be just topnotch pop. I was never disappointed till now.

I still like POM though and without it, it would be all over for me

Work Bitch, Tik Tik Boom, Hold On Tight & Alien - great songs, but they won't save the album.

 

Body Ache, It Should Be Easy, Now That I Found You - imo (with Big Fat Bass) worst songs of her career.

 

Till It's Gone, Passenger, Don't Cry, perfume - kinda cool, but nothing special.

 

Brightest Morning Star, Chillin' With You - just ok, I don't like them at all.

 

I was expecting something better after the flawless FF & great Circus...

But that didn't happen and honestly alien would have done the same as perfume if it had that shitty video and no promotion...you act as if those songs are gm, Pom, slave,etc. level and they aren't none of these songs including work bitch can touch the best of her career and even her other flop singles were better than bjs singles...work bitch slayed b/c the world got danceney back but had she not returned I'm sure it would have flopped worst and ppl wouldn't have gave it an opportunity to be the grower it is

Ironically, it does and I just realized it recently. I still don't like it, though  It isn't even single worthy, but at least it doesn't sound like an unfinished demo.

 

Of course, in spite of writing coherent reasons why we don't like BJ, people will still say we're just bandwagonning

I like Sexxx Dream, G.U.Y., Artpop, Mary Jane Holland, BUT there are too many bad af songs like Jewels n Drugs, Swine, Dope, Donatella - they destroyed the album so for me it's on the same lvl as BJ.

 

And I think that same with BEYONCE. I like Blow, Jealous, Pretty Hurts, Partition, BUT there are also shitty songs that I can't stand!

 

And on Prism I love everything. Only This Is How We Do & International Smile I like a bit less, but other are so flawless Legendary Lovers, Ghost, Choose You Battles - they are perfect and mature + not very basic. Prism is my fave album from katy and imo best of 2013 (I'm also not a fan of Stars Dance or Bangerz...)

Mte , i don't like Blackout that much tho (i mean i like it, but it's not my fav and i'm not like "i want blackout 2.0, i need this in my life omggg !!"), but it's not because an album flop that we are gonna hate it, i mean, not talking about people who liked it at first and then said it was bad when it flopped (because there is some people like that), i'm talking about people that didn't really like it since the beginning. Honestly the biggest problem of BJ is that most of it sounds like a demo album. When i listened to it the first time, i was like "hmm, so, that's it ?", i felt like something was missing, and yeah good production is missing.
