I don't really like BJ. I love Work Bitch, Alien, It Should Be Easy and Now That I Found You, but that's pretty much it. I think they should have taken their time, because it sounds so rush and like an amateur work in some songs.

And yes, I love it the first 2 weeks, because I was all excited about it, it was new and fresh in my ears, but that was it. That never happened for me with her previous albums.

I actually like Britney Jean. However, I feel there's room for improvement. I dislike the amount of auto-tune on some songs, such as It Should Be Easy and some songs don't sound finished, especially Body Ache. That being said, I like those two songs and the whole album but it doesn't really feel like an "album", more like a compilation of singles. Plus, the artwork rocks!

You now what? I have mixed feelings about Work Bitch(song not video) but I do love the album. Her vocals make me feel nostalgic. I have no idea why this album didn't get much recognition. It had some amazing songs (Minus CWU and ISBE)

I too don't get the treating the album like shit. There is a lot of good and it has a lot of potential for the future. If they had 2 well made pop songs the album would have really been a Ray of light. The problem with out the pop songs it's a incomplete album. It feels unfinished. If team Britney can learn what went wrong they can improve it. 

 

Most of the over the top fan reaction is just because they've been disappointed the whole era starting with Work Bitch being EDM instead of Urban and then the No performance on GMA and then No performance at the first listen and no performance on release day.

 

Then the album wasn't the biography they wanted it be instead it was personal on an emotional and mental aspect. Britney was showing a side of herself in music but it wasn't the side a lot of fans wanted. But then there was no great pop songs. The vibey midtempos was a great starting place imo but there has to be a pop classic for it to feel like a Britney album.  Work Bitch is a Great song. I love it but it's not a Britney Spears first single. It's EDM based instead of pop based. It's talky and has Bitch in the title making it not as radio friendly as Britney music needs to be. It's definitely had potential to be a classic (and I think it will be looked at as a song people remember Britney spears when they hear the song and now when they hear someone say "work bitch". A performance is what made Slave 4 U reach past the not quite pop aspect to become a Britney classic. Work Bitch needed that imo. 

 

The album has a lot of production flaws. It even has some stupid ones like the Alien Glitch. They also got songs wrong. TTG doesn't need all that stutter. I wish we could get stems so we could remove some of it. Chillin with you has laid back relaxing verses and then the chorus knocks you out of that mood. It needs a more chill chorus.

 

It should be Easy loses Britney at the end and that should never happen on A Britney Spears song. It had a lot of potential to be the album hit. Even with the vocal affects if Britney was added to parts of the chorus and especially the last choruses. I think it could have been a smash first single. Then Alien should have been the second single. And Work Bitch would have been the perfect song to release as people were getting ready for spring Break and summer beach bodies since that is all people seem to get out of the song. And that is if they could have just made little improvements.

 

I love a lot of the album but they 100% need to make sure that the production quality is there. And they need to start working with what Britney gives them. If she doesn't give them enough for a song. Don't put the song on the album. If you can't mix a songs vocals well don't put the song on the album. No way Body ache should have even came close to being on the album. It was very late minute because they wanted a more pop song but everything about it is just wrong.

While it's not my favorite of hers, it's definitely a good album. Honestly, i think SOME fans care more about sales and chart positions and of course amount of promotion, cuz it happens a lot, they start off liking something and then if it doesn't hit number one or sell a million billion or get massively promoted, suddenly it's trash and that's just pathetic in my opinion.

 

Now of course there's fans who weren't crazy about it from the beginning, that's perfectly fine, cuz lord knows i have music that's not my cup of tea.

Drag ha and b/o didn't flop for "new Britney" standards...it sold way more than ff and is her ONLY album in the hall of fame...when will bj ship wood tho?

I adore Work Bitch and I stan for it hard, the song is awesome, the mv is insanely good. I hated perfume the moment I've heard it, and when I heard it's the next single I wanted to bomb her team. But some songs r good, hold on tight, passenger, dont cry, alien. Album in general is not bad, it is DECENT. However, Britney set up the standard high, and I don't see the point in going below it, which is what Britney Jean is, below britney's standards. That's the reason why I think the whole fanbase got disappointed.

Work Bitch, Tik Tik Boom, Hold On Tight & Alien - great songs, but they won't save the album.

 

Body Ache, It Should Be Easy, Now That I Found You - imo (with Big Fat Bass) worst songs of her career.

 

Till It's Gone, Passenger, Don't Cry, perfume - kinda cool, but nothing special.

 

Brightest Morning Star, Chillin' With You - just ok, I don't like them at all.

Britney Jean is my least favorite album of her's. However, that being said, there are moments and songs from the album I do enjoy very much. "Work Bitch" is legendary, "Alien" is amazing, & "Til It's Gone" is earth shattering. 

 

I understand why most fans disliked this album, but definitely don't agree with a lot of them jumping on the "hate on Britney Jean" bandwagon either.

been a fan since i was a young child this is the first album of britneys in her 15 plus career that i  can't name all the songs and can't remember how alot of the songs go. it is shit in my opinion alot of the songs on the album are not to a good standard. the production is not very cohesive it is a very poor job. alot of the songs sound unfinished for example don't cry seems short like a bit of the song is missing. i think perfume is good, work bitch is such a good britney anthem like me against the music it about her great work ethic. i like brightest morning star it is a lovely song and it is such a personal song. i also like passenger but i can't bring myself to think britney is singing all of it it does not sound like her.i think body ache is also very good but again there is doubt she is singing it, it reminds me of the song i think we are alone now i don't know who sang that song though. the rest of the songs are fillers but there is a good amount of good songs. maybe why people are not warming to it is because it might be missing one essential element britney singing but i can't put my finger on it why the britney fans don't like it because when you break it down it should be good .
