Pom/m&g Experience 9/6

So my family surprised me when we got (suspiciously early) to the theater with a meet and greet!!! 

 

Fe and security were completely freaked out from what happened two nights ago where a girl had snuck in a note to Britney in her bra. They said it was a huge security breech and Fe mentioned that in her 18 yrs with Britney, that sort of thing had never happened. There must be more to this story though, as others have brought stuff before and have been fine. Fe also said not to touch or hug Britney cause it makes her really uncomfortable. This is new. Other than that, everything played out as most of the M&Gs have! 

 

Here are my tips for anyone that does it:

 

1) PREPARE what you say. You literally have like 5 seconds with her and you'll end up saying nothing. Introduce yourself, shake her hand, make small talk. I got a "nice to meet you" two classic "well thank you"s  and a "enjoy the show!" I was happy with what I said, but if I could do it again, I would have asked her a question. You DO feel rushed in the moment though-- they move you along.

 

2) Don't experiment in your pic. The camera literally snaps once and then you're done. Do something you know you'll like. 

 

3) Don't put your hands in your pockets. Security gets freaked out. 

 

Overall, GREAT experience, but short. Britney looks EVEN MORE beautiful up close than in pics/on stage. She is VERY fragile though. You can tell by her handshake and how she interacts with you. You can really tell she's been through a lot. Oh also, up close it is quite apparent that she's had a nose job. It's hard to tell in pics but seems like it up close. Sorry guys. Still, she's so pretty and it's so cool to see all of her staff there chilling. 

 

Also, take some mental pictures. Like for me, the defining moment of the experience was turning the corner around that wall and seeing her face. Like she's RIGHT THERE. It's awesome.

Re. the performance itself:

 

-Everything's obviously lip synced EXCEPT a few people and I agreed that parts of Perfume definitely seemed live...like it was a little off and she had some vocal tics that weren't apparent in other performances of it. She was crying!

 

-She did her signature "wooo" at the end of one of her songs. Major 2002ney teas. 

 

-She definitely lost weight cause she kept having to pull her pants up during MATM.

I think it's completely normal for her to be overprotected, but once you pay huge amount of money, they should give you at least 2 mins with her imo

Maybe not 2 full minutes, but 5 seconds is just not right

And if there's not enough time, then they should either

-Start doing it earlier

-Sell less tickets

IDK, if they give you 2 minutes and sell like 10 tickets per night, it's total of 20 minutes. It's not that much tbh. Meeting your fave shouldn't be just 5 secs   I would need 1 min (at least) to focus and get the stress away and then (eventually)  say something

why would someone pay $2,500 to meet a celebrity for a few seconds? it doesn't make sense to me

M&G prices are set by Caesars Entertainment Company not Britney's Management. CEC sets all ticket prices even the M&G. Britney doesn't get any of it because she is under Contract. Britney makes $30 Million no matter what the tickets cost.

Nice picture - and I loved reading your story.  The defining moment you had - first spotting Britney in the room was similar to my M&G during FFT - turning a corner and seeing Britney standing there waiting for you to approach her is what I remember most - and thinking "OMG she's real!"  Doesn't matter how many times i've seen her in concert, seeing her in a M&G is completely different!

This business can really hurt you if you're not careful.

I am happy you met her though! How exciting to even just be so close to her!
