What in your opinion is Britney's personal album post Blackout, personally for me i probably has to be Femme Fatale, the reason I say that is because of all the sexy fun songs she has on that album, even though she claims Britney Jean is her most personal what do you believe her most personal album is after Blackout?

Circus, definitely.

Kill the Lights. Blur. My Baby. Circus. Shattered Glass. Unusual You. Out from Under. If You Seek Amy.

All of these songs reflected her life over the past few years (2004-2008; fame, paparazzi, breakdown, breakups, her kids) in some way.

Circus. Even though she wrote almost nothing, the themes of the songs are way more personal than BJ. FF is not personal at all, but it's the best out of these 3 imo.

What the hell? 90 percent of Circus is bubblegum pop fluff. Britney Jean has so many topics that are personal to Britney. "Alien," "Work Bitch," "Perfume," "Til It's Gone," "Passenger," "Chillin' With You," "Don't Cry," "Brightest Morning Star," "Hold On Tight," and "Now That I Found You" all relate to Britney in some way, whether it's her kids, her family, Christianity, fame, past relationships, etc.

None of the three are persona, except for 2 or 3 songs on the album, but since I have to choose, it's circus, femme fatale is pure pop/funny/dance album made for the gp, which is good she earned on it a lot. Circus has a few personal songs and BJ is just fake, the only personal songs there are alien and the one about her boys :displeased: and that's it .

Exactly!!! With Circus she wanted to escape the problems and enjoy being a superstar. Femme Fatale was her strong comeback showing everyone that she is back and still can deliver iconic dance tracks. Britney Jean was her most personal album ever, even THOUGH a few songs (especially Body Ache and Tik Tik Boom) are just total crap and should have been replaced by the most personal tracks she has recorded.

Quoting myself just to reiterate why the songs in Circus ARE personal. These lyrics are personal, too.

And the lyrics in BJ are personal, but vaguely so. They're the kind of personal lyrics one would write just because someone told them to sound deep. Unlike a song such as Everytime, Let Go, or Someday--which have fairly simple lyrics--there is a rawness and vulnerability to them.

Circus has upbeat songs like Kill the Lights, Circus, and IUSA that take another approach to portraying Britney's life as a popstar. My Baby is obviously personal and I can hear Britney's love for her boys. Blur is a midtempo that represents Britney's hectic party-girl days and breakdown in 2007. "Everything is still a blur" sounds like her waking up from that dark time. Unusual You and Out From Under are both personal lyrically and Unusual You is a gem on the album.

Britney Jean, TO ME, does have "personal" lyrics, but they are superficial to the deepness of Brit's previous personal songs. Even the Britney albums has songs that reflect Britney's fame and love life. And honestly, I find them to be more believable. Idk why, but I just do.

My bias against BJ, like FF (but I do like FF), is that it comes off as phony despite a few worthy songs (Alien--could have had a better hook, imo, HOT--nicely done, but a little bland, Passenger--I like only the lyrics, tho, Perfume--same as Passenger, but the lyrics seem a little too immature for a 32 yr old woman).

To all of you BJ lovers, please don't take this personal (hehe). If you wanna like this album, by all means, just do it baby, just do it.

Btw, I'm just stating why Circus is seen as personal by some/many, not trying to sway anyone's opinion.
