Do you think Britney Jean wasn't what she wanted by any means? Maybe some songs but that's it. I mean she barely promoted it and if she loved the album and it was close to her she would of promoted it. And at first I loved the album and now with a few weeks not listening to it and going back now I can't stand the album. Definitely is one of her worst albums

I think it's a good record, but overall it's pretty weak in terms or production. I feel like it was rushed towards the end, I have hopes with this new album. Even though id love everything now, I want her to take her time and create a very magical and creative album. I don't think Britney jean was completely what she wanted, some songs yes, but most no.

Britney Jean wasn't what anyone wanted. :frenchy:

When she first listened to it on her computer, she was probably like :surpriseney: And she was like get it away from me asap omg  :ahhhhhh:

And pressed "send to larry" as Halloween joke but Larry doesn't get jokes cause he's old so he just released it :yaknow:

And then praised will.i.am for job well done on Body Ache vocals :bffs:

And she was like bitch wat u do  :oopsie: But he gave her nice scooter so she didn't give 2 shits bout the album and rode happily :scooterney: The End! :bffs:

LMAO :gloria: words of wisdom tbh  :crying1:

But I must say, I bought a copy of Britney Jean, and I like it  :)  , I know it's not the best Britney's album, but, it's not a bad album,  I like a lot of songs from it (Alien, WB, Perfume, Don't cry, Tik tik boom, passenger, brightest morning star... I even like it should be easy :orangu: ) it would be a better album with another kind of production  :bomt:

Yep, I agree.  I waffle back & forth when it comes to Britney Jean for these very same reasons.  I can still listen to the album all the way through from time to time and can appreciate the lyrical themes being different from her last album.  However it just wasn't ready for mass consumption, features some real shoddy production work and (I gotta say!) questionable lead vocals on more then a few tracks.  I'm glad Britney has payed dust to this one tho, and hopefully her next album will bring it on all levels.

Don't get me wrong some songs are great, but listening to it again after some time something feels odd about the album. More like a debuting artist album not some one who has been in the career for a decade plus

tbqh :tbh:

Pretty sure Brit had an idea, it got trampled on, and then the other half was a halfassed excuse for music. There's a big difference between works like Hold On Tight and Alien as compared to the inane dance tracks in the middle -- who okay'd the creation of TTB? :surpriseney: That fashionably late-to-the-trend faux trap plod of a song is one of the grossest missteps in her usually forward-thinking discography, and T.I.'s guest verse is equally cringe worthy.

Because of 1 line that should have been removed, otherwise TI's part is perfect, no? I actually think TTB is very ITZ.

It's so derivative tho it's hard to listen to, but that's just imo :aintevenmad: I'm not a fan of any dance number except for WB from BJ, that's where the album is weakest, near-lethally so too tbh

I love the album. It's probably one of her most relaxing album ever.

U know, with bunch of ballad and mid tempo songs (Don't Cry, Brightest Morning Star, Alien, Hold On Tight).

Work Bitch is a plus.

People tends to hate Britney Jean because she barely promotes it.

But people love work Bitch because of the music video (Another way to promote the song)

I agree that the dance numbers ARE the weakest part of the album aside from WB (which, while great, also resembles a parody of a hit dance song to me at times) but I feel TTB is very ~Britney~ and I love Til It's Gone for her vocals and the lyrics. I rock out, I can appreciate it  :o  :thatsfunny: I also like NTIFY. I do not think this album is Britney's BEST, but I think it is transitional like Britney & Circus.

Sober I don't like NTIFY but when I'm blazed it always puts a smile on my face :embarrassed: I'm kinda afraid to know what it's transitioning towards then :eekk: unless it's more mature-sounding material a la Don't Cry, Alien, HOT, Perfume etc. then I wouldn't mind seeing some of that bleed thru.

I'm not to keen towards BJ, so it may cloud my overall judgment tho :aintevenmad:

Well I hated Circus and got FF afterwards, which I personally loved, so there's always hope haha... who knows where Brit's going with this :watafail:  Apparently she said pop rock... I love IJB and DS :ucrazy: , but I like when she gets more urban way more. How do you rank her albums?

Mine: Blackout > FF = ITZ > Britney > Oops > BJ > Circus > Baby

Sometimes FF/ITZ/Britney will move around but the last four don't change and Blackout is ALWAYS first.

I like Alien a lot, Don't Cry is okay, I love Hold On Tight, and I like Perfume... feel like Britney's likes those songs too, and Passenger, and would like to bring that type of sound to another album but I want her to take her time and just make a whole bunch of songs like she did with Blackout and pick the best of the best.

Haha it is super ITZ! Lots of people love it, I remember a lot of people wanting it as the third single.

For me, it's Blackout > FF = ITZ = OIDIA > Circus > Baby > BJ = Britney. I like solid records overall because I look at cohesiveness and quality of tracks, which is prolly why i love OIDIA so much and why for me FF (as an album) is on par with ITZ, just in different subgenres of pop. Circus is a mixed bag for me, some I like and some I don't. I'm not a fan of BJ or Britney much, even if Britney is her best era :eekk:

To me, cohesion is the ultimate sign of artistic direction, something I see a lot of in BO/FF/ITZ/OIDIA (my fave albums) and not as much (if at all) in the rest. idk, I could be weird :pieceofwhat:
