I think a different style of choreography would be better for her. More fluid and less sharp movements. WB just does not suit the way her body moves.

This exactly. After watching the show live it's basically all about which choreography she is doing. The WB stuff just isn't natural to her. And the dances like slave and even me against the music is getting boring to her. They need to the old choreographers who knew her style of dance. You have to give them moves that work for them yet still fresh and new. The ones for this one just didn't do it. Hence the add on with new moves this leg.

On that note though her charisma and energy live is crazy. And overshadows and flaw throughout the show. Ur not experiencing that on videos.

yea for real i love her so much but i really can't defend her anymore i always say that's it's a process and she'll get there

when the 2nd leg kicked off i said to myself omg it's finally happening but it seems like we're back to the start point

I really like POM and think it's a great opportunity for her to reclaim her confidence since it's a small venue and she is in the same place and have multiple days off i don't really know what she feels when performing but it's definitely not the music :aww1:

she is and will always be my favorite performer ever but i wish to c her shine again in performing like she used to :crying1:

In person she still has that fire and charisma. Videos only show what is going on from not angle. In the audience u get to feel the energy of not only her, but of the audience. That energy shows that she still has it. As well as listening to locals and visitors alike talk about her. Not one had a negative comment. And they all love that she's there and has get spark back.

This is why I am dying to go to Vegas. Up closer and personal, you can see so much more.

And yes about bringing in old choreographers. I want Andre back. He's known her since BOMT. :mhm:

I wonder the same thing.

It's almost 7 am where I'm at and I have to drive for 40 minutes (while listening to Britney) to get to my place of work as a nurse aide. Do I feel like going? Not really. Will I work hard in order to care for the patient and earn my pay? Absolutely. It's all about being professional and just staying positive. Not that Britney isn't either of those things, but her sporadic laziness is just.... :wutwut:

Maybe it's medication, or she just wants to be with her kids, or she hasn't gained that full passion back for performing. Maybe she gets tired more easily now (smoking probably doesn't help stamina and breathing). Who knows?

Either way, this is her job--scratch that, her career. One that has made her lots of money. To be getting millions of dollars to lip-sync and dance/do armography, one would assume a performer would try to give at least 90% throughout an entire show. Consistency is what she could improve on right now, for sure. She's come very far, but has a ways to go in terms of the high standards Britney set herself.

Okay, no disrespect to you or neither to me as I work as a retail assistant at The Range (name drop ;) ) but our jobs are completely different to what Britney does. It's very easy to just switch off from more academic careers. But yeh it's not the same at all! What we do is a job. We know that. What britney does is way more personal. Everyone knows everything about her for a start. Patients and customers just know our name

Again, no disrespect, we need people like you but you need to be a bit more gracious of what people like Brit do a bit more. To be truly happy, there is a strange need to be a 'celebrity' which means you have no privacy. There's no putting on a uniform and taking it off when you're a celebrity.

So yeh if Brit doesn't feel like it one day, who cares? She's inspired me among many others to be aspiring performers. Props to her.

I mean, in one video, she is slaying it, but on the same night, you find lots of lazy videos as well. :zoomzoom:

Before the "she's a person" excuse, it's her job and I really hope she's not being unprofessional on purpose.

it's like that with anyone and even during her prime she had shows where she was bland as well

don't tell me that at your job (if you have one) there are days where you are not up for it and you kinda half-ass it

Thanks for being the voice of reason!! It's pretty much self explanatory why her energy is so erratic. Lol. These threads are so pointless lol

Link me to a show to her prime where she seemed not as into it as now though? :yaknow:

The thing is, I compare Britney with her past like the 2nd leg or her past tours and we know what she's capable of and it's not this. And I find that a far comparison so when we have to compare her to someone, a better one would be to compare her to her peers like Beyonce or even Miley. It's 100% dedication all throughout into their shows. Then again, I won't compare her to them cause they're different so I'll always just compare her to herself.

Yeah. I get that what I do and what Britney does are two TOTALLY different things. Her lack of energy is just frustrating at times. Not that she doesn't work hard and have to face being a public figure, but when her lackluster execution is seen more often then not, I become skeptical. I am sympathetic to the fact that her career is basically her life, however, I'd rather her take a long break then keep on performing if she isn't going to 'feel it' majority of the time.

For Britney, a genuine smile alone improves her performance x10, but a full hair flip or doing a routine (that isn't the B/O section, BOMT, or MATM) full out can't hurt (as far as I know).

I also think--in terms of dancing--she just needs new, fresh choreography all around with hints of the classics. Dances that are fun and complement her body so she doesn't have to count steps and feel like she trying too hard. In the Blackout and BOMT sections, for instance, the dancing comes a little more natural. Those choreos look like something Britney would do for the most part and she does really great 95% of the time.

It's for the same reason that during one game, and athlete will perform amazingly. And others, they will be total shit. Or, during the same game they will play amazing for some parts and some parts they will play not as good. It happens.

Whatever, I've never close to bashed her here and the most I've been saying has been reasonable :orangu:

Not to mention positive or at least suggesting something :orangu: I don't want Exhale 2.0 but you guys take it too far sometimes.

Ugh

Your question has already been answered. And it's really a common sense answer. It's not difficult to understand that. But that common sense comes with age. The older you get the more mature and intelligent you get and these threads will seem pointless and ridiculous.

Have either of you seen the show live?

I went on May 17 and it's apparent the show and Britney are a whole different animal in person. She does make tons of facial expressions that you don't even see in the videos. This has been my experience and I've seen it written in other people's reviews as well so maybe you shouldn't critique something so harshly that you actually haven't experienced first hand?

until you actually go to the show your opinion based off some youtube videos is irrelevent

and i'm so sure you give 100% every single day of your work life :pieceofwhat:

I've been to the show and I think once the initial excitement of having britney right in front of u wears off, her lack of energy is evident. There's no connection to the audience and the abundance of lip syncing ruined the show for me. Yes it's a fun show and overall I had a good time, but I feel I would've had just as much fun if I went to a club that only played britney for 90 minutes.
