Stop Bashing Will.i.am

I wonder if you would say the same thing if S&S had floped...it may be one of the songs that stayed in charts for the most time, but it's one of her worst songs....TTWE did better in charts than slave...is it better? for me no, actually it's one of the few songs that I truly hate from britney...so, I really don't care about charts, if you do that's ok, but justifying his weak work because it's in the charts for a long period of time isn't a justification for me...

 

PS - I really like his early work before he turned to this "futuristic" crap...now everything sounds the same and weak

I think my writing makes me more pro will.i.am than I am. I agree S&S isn't the best song but artists need songs like this that slay the radio and charts to get an album noticed. Will.i.am is good for that, but not necessarily being in charge of someone else's album. If he can get the airplay/chart placings for a single then more people from the gp will buy the album and be introduced to the Britney sound the fans love. This I can only see as a positive. I do agree he didn't produce the best britney album but it's not a pile of crap. Like I said I still listen to it one year on and enjoy it, but it doesn't stand out ahead of game.

I agree that FF doesn't sound like kesha but TTWE sounds like a copy of her songs like blow and stuff like that...the "oh oh oh" part is so kesha!! the verses remind me a lot of her way of "singing"...her singing/talking style fits very well in the verses

yea the oh oh oh is similar, but Keesha's voice sounds really bad on the song  so that's why it sounds like a Britney song to me

yeah we have different opinions...I really think this album is bad...it's the only album that I don't like of britney...I like some of the songs but if they didn't exist I would be totally ok with it...I think work bitch is an ok track, nothing outta this world, I kinda like alien, passenger, hold on tight and don't cry...if they are playing I listen to them, but I don't feel the need of opening itunes and look for britney jean to listen to this songs...I probably only heard them when the album was released, I don't think I heard them again, I don't even know the lyrics of the songs...the only track that I can say that I like is tick tick boom and even this one I can truthfull about it, the production is basic...and I don't even think I have listened to this song in the last 3 or 4 months...

it doesn't sound like a keesha song to me, I know she co-wrote it.... but it doesn't sound like the rest of her stuff. It blends in with the rest of Femme Fatale, and femme fatale doesn't sound like Keesha

Will.i.am is responsible for Britneys longest chart run on the uk charts. Scream and shout slayed for 30 weeks. The next longest run she had was piece of me with 23 weeks. I personally think It Should Be Easy would have had similar success with a music video to back it up. I really don't understand why there's so much hate. BJ may not be the "personal" album we were promised but I think it's underrated and considering the "best" tracks were pulled after finding out there'd be no promo, most of the tracks are really good. I still listen and enjoy one year on. How many other artists release an album that people still listen to one year on?

Antony Preston (he's a friend of Will coincidentally) messed up the vocals and created that glitch. It was fine in the early demo that leaked.

I personally believe that Will.i.am is a brilliant artist, and his work with BEP is legendary. I do not think he should have been the producer on BJ but a few songs for her would have been sufficient.

I think Bj could have been stronger - but that is not to say that I am dissapointed with it. I still love the album.

I personally think that Scream and Shout was huge, and because of that, they should have been done working together. They had their hay-day and milking it only resulted in Britney's worst album to date.
