Two-Year Contract Extension For Britney Spears At Planet Hollywood

Not gonna lie, I didn't like the idea of Britney going to Vegas when it was revealed last year. And now that this may go on longer, I'm still not too fond of it. Let's face it, nobody who is young and still releasing music is in Vegas. Now other people see Britney as a, dare I say it, has-been. This is why every time Britney does something people say "Britney's back" and then in the comments "I thought she was 40".

Wanting to be around her kids is great and so is the fact that the show is selling out, but it won't sell out forever, especially if the lip-syncing errors keep happening and her performance levels stay inconsistent.

She talks as if she's older than Cher and it pisses me off when she continuously shade her former self as if she's be able to last two months with her current abilities lbr she wouldn't be a legend if it weren't for primeney...yet she disses everything about her former self...dissin the oops routine on gma as if those Vegas routines are better...then sayin she doesn't kno y she toured the world it's like bitch please u was a thirsty bitch and u loved every moment of it if you hate touring the world, promotin your music, SINGIN your own songs entirely etc...just hang it up b/c old bitches like Cher, olddonna, mariah, Janet etc. don't even complain that much about doin what they do...I love Britney but I hate to see her tarnish her legacy...the legacy that her former self worked hard to get I understand things happened and changed her life but a lot of good also came out of her career too :zoomzoom: if she renews this residency so she can release another album that she won't promote b/c she's too busy being Halfassney in Vegas I think I'm gonna scream I'll always support her but geesh Britney i'd have more fun as a fan if she did movies for the next ten years since she just doesn't care for the music it seems

just cuz Larry got an apartment close by does not mean that it is going to be extended. People buy properties all the time, especially rich people. He's in entertainment and it makes enough sense that he would purchase a place in Vegas. Maybe he plans on keeping the place for him and his family to use as a vacation home.

having said that, it seems reasonable to think the residency will be extended, but the rumors of 2 yrs specifically is not reliable right now tbh

these rumors of extension have been going on since she started the residency, so it's best to wait til it's official before jumping to specific conclusions.

to behonest, I  don't want her to do another 2 years Piece Of Me If she is not going to take it around the world... I know that she doesnt like touring, but not everybody can afford to pay going to las vegas, stay on a hotel and watch her

A friend of mine asked if she's gona turn 43 this year. :4music: And I was like wtf :zoomzoom::gloria:

Yeah. She's been in the business for so long, one would think she's older than 32. Then she acts older than she is and says "a long time ago, I did a video called..." Which 10 years is a long time, but it wasn't THAT long ago.

This. Fame is a bitch and Britney knows that first hand, but her personal problems can't only be contributed to being a pop star. Her life away from the stage, and then consequentially on the stage, became messed up. Without the legacy of Primeney, Britney's current abilities just wouldn't cut it. Everyone knows they still go and watch Primeney videos to see Britney at her best. If Brit was to come out as a new artist today as she is right now, she wouldn't go as far as she did back in 1998.

And when she says "Sometimes I don't wanna get up and do a show" on gma or something like "this show is hard" or "I'm working my ass off"... I'm just like :frenchy: Yeah you work hard Brit, but it doesn't show over 50% of the time.

I guess I'm just the type of person who doesn't get it when hearing an entertainer complain or half-ass more so than someone who has a 9 to 5 job with no 2 month breaks.

[To anyone else, this may sound like bashing, but it's just my (unpopular) opinion. I adore Britney, of course.]

:zoomzoom: Britney is determined to kill her career I see Britney you're young stopped making career moves of a 80 year old I'd rather see her retire than stay in Vegas and half ass to 16 year old vocals til she's 40

And lol at people calling her a has been. Clearly if she was her show would not be the best selling show in Vegas at the moment and also clearly you haven't been to Vegas and to see her show. It's filled with young people so um ya.

Yay!!!!

I don't get it either. During Circus, she was on her way back to being near her prime, but for some reason it all vanished and we have lazyney full time. Some say her job is hard because being famous is difficult. And to that I say bullshit. Brain surgeons don't go on about how hard it is to do what they do. Entertainers (people who get to freaking dance and sing for lots if money. I WISH I could dance on a stage for ten times what I'll make as a nurse) don't get many passes to complain. Especially if said singer and dancer barely does those two things, especially the singing part.

I'm fine as long as she releases a well-promoted and slay-your-faves-career album   :blackoutsmiley:

This but she can perform anywere outside planet hollywood in North America

I hope the new contract doesn't include that point.
