britney behaved really grown up working really hard and just having her shit together when she first came on the scene thats why i started being a fan and looking up to her. all these newer stars are the same age or actually a bit older than britney was when she first started and they behave really young. like i didn't know selena gomez was 22 i always get the impression she is 16 or something the way they all go on same for taylor swift and mylie cyrus. the new set of people in the music industry seem so amateur and behave like teenagers. when britney was their age the media treated her like she was 50 and a over the hill hasbeen.

hence why it feels also why she's been around forever

I dont really see the point of this thread, yes the others looked younger than Britney, but they look her age. It's Britney who looked more mature. There's nothing wrong with them looking their age and not being oversexualized.

You're one of my favourite users so don;t take this the wrong way.  Britney has always been oversexualized ever since bomt. I mean think about it, why do you the schoolgirl uniform is so iconic? What about the rolling stone cover? Her oops performance (please dont say she wanted to be girly.. you know britney is one smart business woman.. she KNEW what she was doing.) DLMBTLTK onwards she became obviously sexual. Britney has built her entire career on her sexuality since day one. So to answer your question, she has always been oversexualized. Other than that

yup!

it's ironic when other people criticize current artists for being hypersexual when Britney did the same thing, and yes Britney was probably more subtle and had the looks for it but she did it from the beginning

I know and I totally agree... But it never seemed in an obvious way like you already said

It's as if she wasn't trying, she just was, if that makes any sense

Her photoshoots though, well that's a whole other storie LOL

Dem naughty eyes knew what they were doing just like you said

And obviously stripping to a naked suit was sexually meant I mean :gloria:

I guess my perspective of "over"sexualized is completely different because of the whole other standard I grew up with, but pre-Britney era definitely doesn't seem oversexualized to me :yaknow:
