Me either. As usual I was wandering around Billboard seeking for some pieces of news then noticing this. I didn't know it was posted for a while

Iggy said that she was gonna say something about this in like 2 weeks  :lmaolol: thanks for the thread tho  :)

Did you really think that "the blondie" was Britney? :gloria:  :orangu:

everybody knew that was Ellie tho  :zoomzoom:  :pieceofwhat:

Really? I read a topic from this forum about this stuff probably last week but didn't know this was confirmed weeks ago.

However, at that time I didn't expect Britney & Iggy collaboration at all

Yeah, In fact that article from Billboard isn't new, Iggy confirmed it weeks ago I think  :) and it's for the best because a collaboration with her would be tacky and horrible  :britney-nicetry:

Remember when collabs used to be special? Like two power houses coming together to create something unexpected and iconic?

(Gwen Stefani & Eve, Monica & Brandy, Linkin Park & Jay-Z, Bing Crosby & David Bowie…)

Now they are just cheap marketing ploys, because current acts aren't strong enough to be properly successful on their own. Iggy has been with 4 people on 5 songs in the last year; that's basically a pop music slampig. I don't need that tainting Britney's catalogue. Endless collabs just make everyone involved look weak & desperate, hopping on the bandwagon to try and replicate something's initial success until it officially dies out and has been squeezed for every last cent.

Britney should only collab with established artists who are legitimate in their relevancy, not so of-the-moment. It's precisely guest stars like that who make songs seem so dated after a couple years. Not to mention the kind of steaming (REFERENCE) mess like having a collab with a total unknown who STILL hasn't even released a proper commercial album/LP (I'm looking at you, Sabi…).

Britney's best efforts are when making music with a wide array of producers (…or just Danja…). And if she is going to collab vocally, please NO BASIC BITCHES. You won't gain any street cred from working with up-and-comers because it makes you look washed up and trying to be hip. Instead, you can add a little edge by working with acts who have consistent careers, as well as a unique sound. For instance, a Britney collab with Robyn would totally rock the shit out of pop fans - mainstream and indie alike. Adults working with adults, not pop legends and twenty-somethings riding each other's coattails for some five-second shitshow.

This fucking this!!!  :mahhaw:

you are right.. i think the collab thing became shit after pitbull came out...

Pitbull, Iggy, nicki, will, etc are just like filling gaps.. that they dont need to be fillled...

remember when collabs like feat timbaland where greta... yeah it's because he was the producer.. he actually filled the songs great

and yes if britney makes a collab she needs to do a greta one with a great artist such as Madonna agian, Maroon 5, rihanna, Eminem, Gwen stafani, pharell, etc

the only ones who gets what a collab is are Eminem and rihanna  :wowidc:

I knew that when the rumors started. Every rumor so far this year came out to be not real.

Britney's extending her residency

There in fact is a lingerie line

She's recording a new album

The most important ones were all true, idg where you're coming from

This, so much.

The Britney + Janet collab needs to happen SO badly.

No rent-a-rappers.

*wipes forehead* Whew!! Thank goodness.

Collabs are meaningless nowadays. And why would Britney, one of the most genuine, non-fake, and successful people of our time, work with an up and coming Australian rapper who acts like she's from the dirty South? :frenchy:

:tea2:

A collab with Robyn would be fabulous.
