" Britney 'needed' To Resort To Vegas Residencies Because She Can't Fill Arenas"

I'm kinda surprised no one has pointed this out. But Britney is making more money per show in her tiny 4,500 seat theatre than Miley does per arena. This is according to one of the recent pollstar data (which provides a more complete picture than Boxscore). I don't have the link, but if someone else have it, please share.

:mhm: thanks for sharing this!

it's alot more impressive than people credit her tbh

She is young for a Vegas residency and there is more competition in Vegas than ever

Not to mention she is trailblazing by establishing pop music as a credible show in Vegas, where traditionally the typical age demographic is middle age and up. Vegas has traditionally catered to older people because they typically have more money, less children obligations, no school or career to build, more time, and old enough to gamble and drink.

It shows her cross generational appeal...from the youth to her generation to her parents generation. POM is more successful than ticket sales can show.

this tbh

Britney's paving such a legacy in the industry, and it's not made a big deal because she's not looking for a legacy like other basic pop bitches. She's just doing what she likes and what feels natural for her. When the history books are written, she's gonna have a huge place in them :mhm: :mhm:

Haters gonna hate, but Godney will forgive them all.  :Godney:

I agree.

People like to underestimate her tbh. But obviously they're wrong because She's Britney Spears for goodness sake! She's still killing it for almost 2 decades now! #legend

Well it is kind of true, she can't sell out a 3000 seat theatre right now...

And she's only making more than Celine because she isn't even there :gloria:

Vegas residencies are different from tours. :yaknow:

I mean, it's different when you're just in one location, doing hundreds of (expensive) shows compared to a "one night only" stay in a different city every week. The demand is different. Even Celine didn't sell out all her shows for A New Day, but she went on to have a record-breaking tour right after so it's by no means an indicator that she couldn't tour anymore.

I know, I'm only messing haha

Celine completely slayed after her Residency, isn't the Taking Chances Tour one of the highest grossing?

Which is why it annoyed me so much when Larry shaded her by calling her "not current" but yet her album last year sold 3x more than Britney Jean.

I remember the FFT did struggle, especially here but when I went it was still full. I honestly don't see her selling out a stadium though.

Yup, third highest female tour after Madonna's two tours.

She isn't though, at least when it comes to being out there at award shows, performing everywhere, having songs on top of charts, etc. But that's overrated, anyway, it's still legends who make the most bank :iconic:

Celine is a bigger star than Britney and I can admit that as a Britney stan. Her music crosses more markets, kinda like Adele.

FF did struggle, but just in Europe if I'm not mistaken. Her market in Europe is a bit iffy so I can see why her team thought it would be a good idea to get will.i.am for Britney Jean, if only he gave her more of his solid material.

And I'd say she can still sell out stadiums in the US if she makes decent promo. Asia without any effort because she's still treated like a queen there. :orangu:

I was honestly happy when Will was announced as EP. S&S was mega huge and people started liking her again in the UK.

You NEVER hear about her here. You smell her perfumes more than you hear her music.

I've just started stanning Celine tbh. I've always loved her but I watched A New Day... and just fell in love

Will's not necessarily a bad producer imho, it's just that when he's shit, he's SHIT. But he's produced some good songs over the years like:

I think BJ was just so obviously rushed and he tried to do the best with the time he had, which was impossible.

Yaaaas it's so beautiful right? It doesn't necessarily look as extravagant as tours, but it hits all the right places SO WELL

BJ just COMPLETELY sounded rushed which was why I think it sounded bad.

Change the lyrics of ISBE, clean up Body Ache, clean up the vocals a bit and it would be a good album. It isn't TERRIBLE. It just needs to be worked on.

I think it's just dreadful :orangu: There are certain bits in songs that sound like they could be part of a hit, but I forget it a few basic 1892 beats later. They should've just postponed it to March like Femme Fatale.

It's sad because I think Will was Britney's last chance to win over the European market and now they completely fucked up their business relationship.
