Do you believe in this conspiracy?

Honestly, I think it's true

The reason she shaved her head is because she wanted to get rid of the hair that essentially made the fabricated Britney Spears

Rumors say that the original concept of Gimme More was that a brunette Britney takes a blonde Britney to a motel and kills her, then kind of like rises from her ashes or something

Those two things combined with Mona Lisa and Rebellion make a lot of sense

What do ya think?

Yes, in someway.

But I think she mostly shaved her head as an act of rebellion telling to everyone around her: "I can do whatever I want without anybody's permission. Nobody can take my freedom away from me." And to close a bad stage in her life and reborn.

Yeah we're all overthinking this I mean can't a popstar get a funky hairstyle or smth?

Than why she started hiding her shaved head with cheap fugly wigs?  :thatsweird:
I really would have loved see her with short haircuts & letting her hair grow naturally.

Also, I genuinely think people who think Britney Spears is indeed mental have been, in a way, brainwashed by the media

She definitely has/had something tho, otherwise she wouldn't have changed like she did (FF era was the worst she seemed like overmedicated, seriously). After everything she's been through it's obvious she had at least depression.

I don't think there is any conspiracy with the head shaving. It's the accumulation of troubles, Kevin, pressure of the medias, her career being controlled, paparazzi etc. she had a "moment" , i can't find the right word, a compulsion? (something anyone could have during depression, just like that because of what you feel on the moment and you unconsciously have the urge to behave in a certain way with an act of sadness, rebellion, anger etc. it's a typical reaction, it's not necessaraly being "mental" like bipolar or schizo) and so she shaved her head, that's it.

symbolically I guess

shaving your head is symbolic anyways...monks, military, gangs, religion, culture, etc

shaving your head can be seen as a rite of passage

people treat that as a low point, but I don't see it that way

it's just tied into a rollercoaster up and down year for her, and people lump it all together

the fact that she is smiling and doing it herself

there's alot more to the story, but it works to see it from a symbolism perspective because pre-Circus era it is reasonable to assume that she wanted to escape herself in some way

I also see it as one of the most iconic things she has done, and it sent a message to the world whether intentional or not. It was bold and I think she got a kick out of how people would react...I mean, to this day it's talked about and still confuses people so they settle on whatever theory suits them. We may never know the full truth

Bloated

"Dead behind the eyes"

A little slow and kind of stiff

Definitely seem the side effects from some sort of medicine, which kind of looked like to be unnecessary to begin with

I just think it's weird how people think BRITNEY'S the one who's crazy, lol

Meanwhile, we're just talking about a bald head :drown:

But hey, at least I'm not being such a hypocritical that I'd call her the one who's being crazy :drown:

it may be postpartum depression or a ptsd-related thing...those are more reasonable to assume than other mental disorder because she lost her kids and went through alot in the eyes of the public. Those are facts we know. But what we don't know is whether or not her "change" is normal or not...given her conditions.

Her situation is unique. Her fame went beyond just a star, and her career literally grew alongside and propelled the paparazzi tabloid culture. She was everywhere and people were saying everything under the sun about her. She had no privacy. There hasn't really been another analogy to her fame since her prime...so not even other stars can actually relate.

Still, people's health is a private matter, and actually none of our business. And it is beyond complex and complicated for anyone to speak confidently about it. Even if you are a doctor, she is not your patient, and even if she is your patient you can still misdiagnose.

I choose to just accept that I do not know. Anything else is just mere speculation and no one but her and her doctor can disclose that information. I just send her my wishes and hope for the best

In the roman era women who shave their head means that they don't want anybody to touch them, and Britney shaving her head and saying don't touch me was the same thing it was symbolic, I think it was self expression, releasing all that negative energy that was inside of her at the time, and I appreciate her for not caring about anyone and rebelling out and doing what she wanted, she was truly free but she was also weak and sad, she had no one by her side, everyone was using her, even her parents, if she had someone who loved her at the time she would've been okay and not mentally breaking down

But It was really good to let all of her negative energy out, and in the music video, black haired Britney killing blonde Britney was a symbol of breaking free and not being advertised as the "blonde" popular chick, in the part where she kills her old self is a symbol of moving on and breaking her chains and contracts, she wanted to be free

That's my opinion and guess

Wow, guys... I wonder how Britney felt when her own fans kind of took away that freedom from her

Remember back during the Circus tour how people demanded their money back or something because she was brunette and not blonde? Yeah... That's so sad :(

I agree with you. I was just answering the OP question since he asked what we thought about that conspiracy thing, and in my opinion IF there is a reason to her head shaving, it could be more something really ordinary like a depression rather than a conspiracy thing (i don't believe conspiracies regarding Britney, the worse is that illuminati thing, i feel like people live in a movie sometimes, always seeing conspiracies everywhere, a meaning behind everything, hidden message everywhere, while most of the time there is absolutely nothing  :britney-nicetry: but whatever that's off topic).

Like you, i don't know anything and i accept that, it's her business anyway, all that matters is that she seems happy now, so it's great and i'm happy for her.

And honestly the past is past i really don't care why she shaved her hair, she did it, what's done is done, there's no need to find a reason for everything (reason that we will never find by ourselves anyway, so i don't understand why people always make tons of assumptions, it's like if they were doing a list and were trying to find what's the more believable one, it's kinda scary in a way tbh) especially for that bad period.  Just move on and enjoy the moment.

I think it was probably part rebellion, but part something else that she was/is struggling with.
Shaving your head is an extremely drastic and rash decision to make, and regardless of what Britney says, people just don't "shave their heads all the time."
She had already been under a lot of negative scrutiny for partying with Paris, flashing her goods, the incidents with Sean Preston and I think all that just caught up to her all at once and she might not have known how to deal with it.
I'm not her doctor, or a psychologist / psychiatrist, nor do I claim to be.
I have no idea what was going on then. Nobody does except her.
I'm just SO glad all of that is OVER and in the past and I'm glad she seems to have but those dark days behind her.

I just absolutely DETEST that the world won't ever let her forget it.
She can't sneeze without TMZ posting that she might be on the road to "another breakdown."

It's deplorable.
Ugh.

Cheesy moment, but I'm just so glad to have her here today, because I honestly thought 2007 was going to take her away.
That shit was really scary.
That's why I hate seeing the "artistic" pictures of her on tumblr when she's bald, gnashing her teeth with the "Punk's Not Dead" caption, and all the other shit people come up with to glorify that time. Idk, maybe it's just me.

Wow, I didn't expect this to be so long.
Sorry

I believe it. In Toy Soldier she says, "Cause new Britney's on a mission."

I think she wanted to shed the image of happy, perfect Britney as well as rebel. The shaving her head thing (which I think wasn't that big of a deal, even though a shocking event) went along with those themes in her life and music.
