Actually Robin Leach was the one who said that, so it's kinda accurate

Oh did he? I don't remember that :/

I was kind of hoping it wasn't true. It doesn't SEEM true tbh...

ikr?

But makes sense, if Britney was allowed to tour in the US, people wouldn't come to see her in Vegas

Not tour but I'm sure a performance would be fine?

I'm 100% sure that they will televise a performance. I'm surprised they haven't done it yet tbh... there's small snippets on the PH Youtube channel.

She's allowed to perform on TV Shows tho.

I'm also surprised they didn't use any performance from Vegas in a Award show yet.

Actually it was Kurt Melien, VP of entertainment at Caesars Entertainment'

Will Spears contractually be allowed to perform outside of Las Vegas during her two-year Las Vegas residency?
"I’m glad you asked that question. It’s full exclusivity in North America. So she’ll be exclusive to Las Vegas and Planet Hollywood for two years in North America. If you live in the United States or Canada and you want to see Britney Spears in the next couple of years, Vegas is the place to do it."

Them televising the NYE show would've been great promo tbh :boring: There were rumors about it back then in Exhell.

And it's probably cause none of the performers make Britney look good except MATM + Blackout section and maybe BOMT Section. She would be ripped apart for the other ones. At the show, you can kinda cheat a performance, but on TV, the focus wil be solely on Britney.

I disagree tbh. With TV they can get different angles, switch to different cameras if she isn't doing so well, go to the audience.

It's like watching Instagram videos, it's just permanatley on her and yes, it does look a bit boring/odd.

But I do agree, they need to fix a few parts before televising. Some bits are still iffy.

Or at least, when they add her new singles to the setlist, they show it on GMA, for example.

I'm gonna say it about 1000 times. This is the PERFECT time for a promotional single. A club banger single with a quieter B-side.

Promotion for Vegas, her Intimate line and builds up hype for her new album.

She then could also place it in the show to freshen it up for her and the audience. There can be two music videos, a normal one and a video of the performance in Vegas.

As long as the song is good, perfect promotion plan until the new album imo.

I think whatever single she puts out, she has to put it in the show close to its release date. Then, they televise the performance of the new single on GMA. And maybe get her on interviews for Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, etc. She should also premiere the MV at a relevant TV show.

I REALLY agree that she should look at releasing performances online now.

Stronger would look dreadful on TV, lbr. :orangu:

Toxic, they can maybe fix, but people will complain about the lack of dancing. Circus section is probably fixable with the right angles.

They really need to change that :gloria:

The choreography is just cringe worthy. She needs to slay the breakdown more as well.

We went from this:

To whatever that thing we have now :gloria: It's like they were deliberately giving a middle finger to fans by completely butchering a fan favorite like that.

And she does look okay with the breakdown... like 5% of the time :pieceofwhat:

I haven't been able to figure out what happened. I don't think the choreographers are bad, the original Toxic choreography was AMAZING.

Britney did the dances well in the rehearsal in the studio and on stage but then in the performances it's like oh

I think it's because of her anxiety issues. There's no confirmed source says she has one but i think she does have anxiety problems. And those problems will never be gone.A friend of mine had an accident when she's 5, and 15 years later she still can't completely get over it.

Britney always dances better in rehearsals than in performances after breakdown, even in circus era, for example the mannequin rehearsal video.

So i totally get it that she hasn't done a live performance for a long time. When she's got more confident, she can broadcast a few performances in vegas(a new song of her new album and BTI?) to some music awards show like the op said, i think it's a good idea.
