Pokémon Spears Posted September 30, 2014 #12 Report Posted September 30, 2014 I feel like 100 years old
Pokémon Spears Posted September 30, 2014 #13 Report Posted September 30, 2014 By the way, I always say to my friends that Britney Spears and Pokémon are more related than anything. Every time a special event occurs in the Britney world, something special happens with Pokémon too. The biggest news always came at the same time in both fandoms, and I know it because I search for news everyday for both. They're so related, that the day BOMT was released was the same day that the first Pokémon games appeared in USA. Yeah, they appeared before in Japan, but it wasn't until they were released in America that the real success started for the franchise. The same with Britney, she was born in 1981, and she did a lot of things before BOMT, but it wasn't until the release of that song that the real thing begun.

News Posted September 30, 2014 #16 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Wow, time does fly so fast! Today marks 16 years of Britney Spears hit single 'Baby one more time". Britney released the first pop culture song today, September 30th 1998. The song debuted on the Nov. 21, 1998, Billboard charts and hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 on Jan. 30, 1999. (It spent a grand total of 32 weeks on the charts, with two in the No. 1 slot.) Slay Britney!! Britney told billboard around the 1999 era: "I had been in studio for about six months listening and recording material, but I hadn't really heard a hit yet," Spears recalled to Billboard at the time about the process of recording the track. "When I started working with Max Martin in Sweden, he played the demo for '...Baby One More Time' for me, and I knew from the start it one was of those songs you want to hear again and again. It just felt really right. I went into the studio and did my own thing with it, trying to give it a little more attitude than the demo. In 10 days, I never even saw Sweden. We were so busy." Can't believe it has been 16 years already and the song is still slaying everyday lives. Check out performances of BOM from 1999-to present day! Happy birthday Baby one more time!!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxK6xrO1TME Read it on our mainsite!

Jojo93220 Posted September 30, 2014 #19 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Happy birthday to the first BSlayage....
Maria Spears Posted September 30, 2014 #23 Report Posted September 30, 2014 OMG! That song changed our lives forever... Also.. a lot of music magazines call it the best pop song of the 90's so......... Can someone please explain to me how the HELL it didn't win the grammy and Genie in a Bottle did???? Please.. Like what the actual fuck?
MadDennis Posted September 30, 2014 #24 Report Posted September 30, 2014 Time flies Happy b-day BOMT!
PopMusicJunkie Posted September 30, 2014 #25 Report Posted September 30, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxK6xrO1TME I've always liked this "Wizard of Oz" inspired performance and can't believe this is her only one at the Grammy's. I don't care what anyone says, Britney was robbed of that Best New Artist Grammy, no shade towards Christina Aguilera (I like her too) but that award should have gone to her. #Happy16thBirthdayBOMT
