WeKeepOnRockin Posted October 3, 2014 #1 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Some of you people calling other members "haters" and "non-fans" just because they're being honest about performances and about facts: you need to stop. Nobody is perfect, and there's nothing wrong with expressing dislike or your opinions on aspects in Britney's life. The truth is that we are aware of Britney's performing capabilities. She slayed in the 2nd leg of POM so she can do it again. But during the last leg, she decided to not go all-out on her performances like she did in the 2nd leg, and that isn't fair to the fans who traveled from around the world and bought tickets to see Britney Spears not even giving a fraction of the effort she gave in previous legs. Sure, some of us are hard on Britney. It's called tough love. We wouldn't "bash" her "lack of" dancing if we didn't think she was capable of doing any better. But because we have seen rehearsal footage of her slaying, and footage of her slaying in other legs of the residency, we will of course say something if Britney decides to, I'll be blunt here, be lazy on-stage. We are all fans of Britney Spears. If we weren't fans, we wouldn't give fan communities the time of day. And there's a huge difference between the trolls who log on only to bash her, and the NON-DELUSIONAL fans who are just being honest. These same non-delusional fans actually have given credit where it is due. That all being said, non-delusional fans =/= haters. 3

heather Posted October 3, 2014 #10 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Yes, I agree with you. Although some people can be quite NASTY towards her which is just ridiculous. This! There's a difference between "honest tough love" and straight up nasty negative hatered
ValetGirls Posted October 3, 2014 #11 Report Posted October 3, 2014 I prefer the album version to the Stop remix guitar solo shreds baybee But in essence, yes we shouldn't temper ourselves from rooting for Brit's potential in the name of political correctness, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut most of us left Exhale for a reason too. It's just a balance thing, and not a huge problem here anyways (at least from my perspective) just always make sure you're constructive, and be open to common sense
POMNEY :3 Posted October 3, 2014 #12 Report Posted October 3, 2014 It is exactly true I was lucky she slayed my show but i feel bad for all those other fans, she needs to understand that people pay tons to see her she needs to put max effort into every show
Brian.TheDog Posted October 3, 2014 #13 Report Posted October 3, 2014 I prefer the album version to the Stop remix guitar solo shreds baybee myah did that solo
Brian.TheDog Posted October 3, 2014 #14 Report Posted October 3, 2014 It is exactly true I was lucky she slayed my show but i feel bad for all those other fans, she needs to understand that people pay tons to see her she needs to put max effort into every show that is true however she's always had shows when she's good and some when she's not, it's just with technology now all of them get filmed 1
LiaLovesGodney Posted October 3, 2014 #15 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Thank you SO MUCH for this. It's just crazy how constructive criticism is a foreign concept to some people.
FallingWithoutWings Posted October 3, 2014 #16 Report Posted October 3, 2014 This! There's a difference between "honest tough love" and straight up nasty negative hatered I can name one member who pushes the boundaries ..but I'll stay quiet hehe. 1
POMNEY :3 Posted October 3, 2014 #17 Report Posted October 3, 2014 that is true however she's always had shows when she's good and some when she's not, it's just with technology now all of them get filmed I get it, there is probably a halfassed onyx dance move somewhere, but this thread is still flawless
Brian.TheDog Posted October 3, 2014 #18 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Thank you SO MUCH for this. It's just crazy how constructive criticism is a foreign concept to some people. constructive criticism is as ambiguous as common sense to some people someone can say "she sucks at dancing now" and they call it 'constructive criticism', plus it's not even constructive criticism if she's not even reading it i personally never got the hype of critiquing someone else for something that i'm not doing personally, and if i was paying for it then it's my choice to go with it or not, knowing it may or may not happen when you watch a movie (not you, just in general) and you don't like it, yes you say it sucks but you don't go and watch it again hoping it's gonna be different

Ariana Grande Posted October 3, 2014 #21 Report Posted October 3, 2014 I think it's only fair to express freely what we think of her as an artist as long as we choose carefully the words we are going to use while doing it. It's not right to call her lazy or saying she's half-assing her show. Calling people "exhalers" for expressing their discontents towards Britney's lack of passion (to call it something) isn't right either *side-eye looking at certain admin*

People critique performers all the time, from fans to the gp to the people working around them. With a movie, that's a one time ordeal. An entertainer has the ability to grow and change over time, and that is what supporters of said entertainer want to see.

I hate it when sometimes people say opinions here and other members get angry at them because this is a "positive forum". I know it is but sometimes you have to be realistic and accept when something related to britney is not great, and when you say your opinion or your dislikes about britney it doesn't make you less fan than the ones that are always extra positive. Its just what you said, we want her to be better and to be the best version of herself.
Brian.TheDog Posted October 3, 2014 #24 Report Posted October 3, 2014 But most of us invest time and money into Britney as a popstar, so that's why we care about what she does and how she does it. An entertainer has the ability to grow and change over time, and that is what supporters of said entertainer want to see. I agree 100% with you. With that said, we need to think the fact that she's as human as we all are Does it mean that she can half-ass whenever? No, but also not be all judgmental when it happens unless you can tell that she doesn't give a crap (or she says it). There's no point in people who are over-critical of her and still call themselves fans just because they once were, that's not even healthy, no one would be in a relationship with someone who never meets their expectations. Also the person would have to wonder why so over-critical of a stranger. Do I miss how she was performance-wise? Of course, it takes me down memory lane but those were also different times, we all change. She will probably never be how she was in her prime as much as it sucks to accept that, but it's my choice to be a fan or not and complaining about it all the time is not gonna change anything because it's out of my control. Maybe it's because Britney is not the center of my life that I don't care as much as other people, I try not to base my life on other people cuz I'd always be disappointed.
