Britney Spears has just taken the first step to end her conservatorship ... TMZ has learned she's contacted a large law firm ... and assuming the firm agrees and is permitted to represent her, the first order of business will be filing legal docs asking the judge to remove her father as conservator of her estate. Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Britney wants to hire powerful lawyer and former federal prosecutor Mathew Rosengart. Britney has signed the following document: "Pursuant to my statement in open court on June 23, 2021, my rights, and my desire to end the above-referenced conservatorship as to my father Jamie P. Spears, it is my desire t…

Britney Spears' personal conservator, Jodi Montgomery, is slamming Jamie Spears for claiming that she won't allow him to communicate with his daughter or be involved in decisions related to her conservatorship. In documents filed in Los Angeles court Friday by Montgomery's lawyer, Lauriann Wright, the conservator condemns Britney's father for attempting to blame Montgomery for the singer's alleged treatment under her conservatorship, which was revealed during Britney's explosive June 23 court hearing. "It is ironic that Mr. Spears now wants the conservatorship to 'reflect her wishes,' since it is no secret that Ms. Spears has wished…

Sam Ingham, the lawyer who has represented Britney Spears in her conservatorship, is resigning ... TMZ has learned. We're told Ingham -- who has repped Britney for 13 years -- will file legal docs as early as today ... asking to be dismissed as Britney's court-appointed lawyer. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, Ingham is extremely upset at Britney's statement in court ... that she never knew she could end the conservatorship. We're told Ingham regularly gave Britney options, including requesting that the conservatorship should end, but she never wanted to pull the plug. Our sources say Britney did talk to…

Jamie Lynn Spears spoke out about a report that claimed she is the only member of her family not on sister Britney Spears’ payroll amid the pop star’s conservatorship battle. A New Yorker exposé published on Saturday, July 3, alleged that the Grammy winner’s father, Jamie Spears, her mother, Lynne Spears, and her brother, Bryan Spears, have been paid by Britney, 39, for years. This left Jamie Lynn, 30, as the only one in her immediate family who did not profit off of the singer. “Jamie, Lynne, and Spears’s brother, Bryan, have all spent years on Spears’s payroll, and, as friends who spoke with her at the time recalled, she was increasingly resentful of…

Britney Spears shouldn't have to foot the bill for round-the-clock security guards for Jodi Montgomery, her personal conservator ... at least according to Britney's dad. Jamie Spears filed an objection to Montgomery's request for increased security in the wake of what she calls a flood of death threats since Britney testified. Jamie's reaction to that is, basically ... welcome to the club. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Jamie says he's been getting threats for years, as has Brit's attorney, Sam Ingham, and others connected to the conservatorship. He's not totally cold-hearted, though, saying the court should evaluate how much securit…

There's a lot set for this hearing and it is extremely important Britney attend (this one and ANY/ALL future hearings). Penny hasn't granted Ingham's request to resign yet, she likely will on the 14th if Britney has new counsel by then. Also, I saw Jodi filed a petition to allow Britney a guardian ad litem to assist in choosing her own counsel. It seems impossible for Penny to deny the requests of both Jodi and her mother to allow Britney to hire her own lawyers at this point.

So I’m not saying he’s right or wrong here, but he has the Free Britney Twitter community fucking shook with his manipulation. I fucking hate him. https://twitter.com/samlutfi/status/1412222822638780418?s=21 Like why not show the whole interaction, sis. Is it because you’re still a manipulative lying asshole? But some on Twitter think he’s legit. The infighting amongst the community there is a fucking distracting mess.

There's so much to unpack here, a lot of it we knew, a lot of it explains things deeper, a lot of it is heartbreaking and infuriating. I'm glad they mentioned Lou finally since she's missing from so many stories. One thing I thought was really interesting is that Britney reported herself as a victim of conservatorship abuse the day before her testimony, this alleges there's a current investigation! She really seems ready to continue to fight this and not give up. Now we know what those candids were about. Again, FUCK Lynne and her "when this is over I want Britney to resent Jamie and not me" I didn't think I could hate her family anymore than I did after Britney's testi…

https://instagram.com/stories/jamielynnspears/2606187906410461233?utm_medium=copy_link This woman is beyond hope! Those crocodile tears aren't fooling anyone, and neither is your assurance you love your sister and gain nothing from the conservatorship. IF she wants to end it? IF?? She was quite clear, many times, that she DOES want it ended. That's where your support should be as a sister! Not fake crying on Instagram trying to save your own image.

New Yorker wrote very long and informative article about Britney’s conservatorship and what led to it. Still it is unclear how true all these claims in the article are, (mostly what Sam Lutfi claimed). Read the full article here! View the full article

This seems bad, but it's actually really good! Bessemer states they were led to believe the conservatorship was voluntary, however, after Britney's testimony they conclude it's in Britney's best interest NOT to be a co conservator since she has clearly stated she wants the conservatorship terminated.

Jamie Spears has fired back at his daughter's allegations he has taken away her freedom and even her right to marry ... he says that all falls on his successor. Jamie filed legal docs claiming he has not had ANY involvement in Britney's personal conservatorship -- meaning making personal decisions on behalf of Britney -- for nearly 2 years. Furthermore, he says he hasn't even spoken to his daughter in a long time because "he has been cut off from communicating with her." Jamie lays any blame for the restrictive rules on the current personal conservator, Jodi Montgomery. He says when Britney's lawyer filed docs to appoint Montgomery, he claimed …

Not the first time they've done it, nor is this the first time Britney has called it out. Also important to note, Britney's Instagram did a massive unfollow the other day, among the people deleted were Lou Taylor and Cassie Petrey. Cassie was her (maybe former now) social media manager. Make of that what you will, but I know what it means to me.

Britney Spears' lawyer just filed legal docs to terminate her 13-year-long conservatorship ... TMZ has learned. Britney's lawyer filed the docs Tuesday afternoon -- a follow-up to Britney's clear wishes that she expressed during last week's explosive hearing. The big sticking point will almost certainly be a mental evaluation, which Britney made clear she does not want. She wants out without being evaluated by the team of doctors and therapists who have worked with her. The messaging is clear ... she seems fairly sure if there's an evaluation, the judge may well decide the conservatorship stays in place, but almost certainly with big change…
