Justin Bieber's movie BOMBS, doesn't even make it into the Top 10 at the Box Office

I don't understand the logic here. Why release concert DVDs as cinema-release movies?

Obviously, it is greed. Make fans pay up to $10 dollars to see it once, and then charge them 4 times as much to actually own the "full version" on DVD.

Because the movie and marketing cost relatively little (compared to most movies), it may save itself. The film is only a flop if it fails to cover the costs of making it. Although, this is a very bad start for most films.

It cost $5 million to produce

Apparently it had a $5 million promotion budget

Distributing it to theatres worldwide will cost millions as well, so let's throw another $5 million to round it off

And cinemas will keep half the proceeds from ticket sales and give half back to the movie studio that produced it.

So all in all, the movie would have to make $30 million just to break even. Which is like impossible. The only way to save it would be if it had REALLY strong DVD/Blu-Ray sales.
