Answer:

 Amongst the many roles she was offered and pursued Britney was presented with opportunities to appear in such films as Chicago in the part that later went to Lucy Liu. She was also slated to appear in Scary Movie but was not able to as she was in the middle of a concert tour. She was once considered and auditioned for the part of Allie Hamilton in the film 'The Notebook', the part was instead given to Rachel McAdams. Britney also lost the part of Daisy Duke in the film 'The Dukes of Hazard' to her friend and colleague, Jessica Simpson. Britney was offered the part to a film called 'Gordy' when she was 13, but ended up turning it down.
