There are hundreds of things that are much more important than Britney and it does not make you a bad fan. If you have little money and you have to support your family, then there is no room for Britney. It's all a matter of needs. If you have some little money and you spend it going to Vegas to look after Britney and your family suffers loss on account of that, you are not a good fan, you are a very irresponsible human being.

NOT saying that YOU are. Just setting an illustration. ;)

1. The show: What can you take to the show and what not? Can you take pictures/videos with your cell or photo camera? Will a security guard will confiscate your stuff to give it back to you when the show is over?

yup you can take pics and videos. its like any other concert; its technically in the rules but they dont usually enforce it.

2. The show: Does Britney ever go off-stage to greet the crowd? Is it possible to at least touch her hands/hair without giving away $2.525? The promo for this show promised that every night was to be a very intimate party between Brit and her fans. I guess none of this happens because then the M&G has no purpose whatsoever.

there is a pre party before the show but i dont think britney goes to that. but ya, she gets very close to fans, though obviously i dont recommend trying to touch her or anything

3. The show: Does Britney interact with fans during the show? And please, I'm not looking for the 'Lace and Leather' thing where she gets a guy on stage to whip his ass in front of everybody. Does she touch hands at least with the front rows?

sometimes she'll grab hands but mostly she just waves and smiles

4. The venue: Are there any cool props in the venue? Like a Britney wax doll or something like it that you can take pictures of with you? Are there any billboards or posters of Brit to do the same thing?

the venue has a bunch of her old costumes on display and a couple things like that but theres a madame tussads nearby if u really wanna see a wax figure of her LOL. you can get ur pic taken in front of the same bg they use for m&gs and there are a bunch of britney posters all over planet hollywood as well

5. The venue: What stuff can you get at the Britney store? Is that inside or outside the venue? Please don't tell me it's only stupid clothing for girls, are there things like music, magazines, singles or stuff like that there?

there's no magazines, its typical concert stuff. cups, posters, bags, shirts, keychains, etc etc. u can buy all her cds and dvds there though. the store is worth going in just for the sake of looking at imo. there's britney everywhere; they have her videos and concerts playing on tvs, they play her cds in the store, and she's all over the walls. plus the cashiers are super nice and usually are huge britney fans.

you can buy the stuff both inside the venue and at a store right outside the theater. its like literally directly across from it lol.

6. The hotels: What's the best option for this? Staying at Planet Hollywood seems very expensive for me. Are there any back-packers lodges to stay in Vegas? Or maybe houses or small hotels which are of course cheaper? Seriously, this is very important.

i stayed at planet hollywood and its not worth the money, trust me. we got robbed and it just wasnt very quality. the casino absolutely reeked of cigarettes, it was gross. altho the mall inside and the restaurants were good.

I consider that very unfair to loyal fans who have supported Britney for +15 years ever since BOMT was played for the first time in the radio back in 1998.

Since you got your questions answered...I'll take the bait on this one.

It is completely fair, when you consider how much her time is worth and the amount of creepy fans she has. If the tickets were cheap than any weirdo could go up to her. So this prevents those weird ass fans, and you know they exist.

Personally, I think it's expensive...but you forget one crucial thing: It's in Vegas! Vegas is expensive and people who go there know they are gonna drop some cash. In fact many people go to Vegas and lose TONS of money, without anything to show for it...So it is worth it to some fans, then so be it...

If ya wanna see Britney, then become a barista at Starbux, and Work bitch

Well now you have those video games, music, and movies. That should entertain you for a while. If there is another game you want, there's always chirstmas or you could save up, it's not too much. Also, im guessing u dont have a new game console so its not like there are too many games to buy.

You don't need to repurchas drum equipment or a dvd unit now.

I say, if you can, now save up for Vegas. In the end, this trip will be worth, moreso than movies and other stuff

All of our time is worth pal, not only hers. Of course she is the big star, but it's not like we are insects of something. I have a huge appreciation for her, but I also love myself, and respect myself. Being a Britney fan doesn't mean to bow down to the ground like a worm or cockroach with no value at all. Besides, I am NOT saying the thing should be free, I just think it's waaaaaay too much money. Maybe $2.525 is a walk in the park for you, but not for me. Consider that aside from that, I have to pay for plane tickets, hotel, airport fares.. etc. Yeah, not your fault... not anyone's. But given that all fans are forced to go to Vegas as the only spot to see her these days, there should be an incentive for the M&G instead of using that as a repellent.

**MY personal opinion.

Does she visit a Starbucks near her venue frequently? That could be my FREE pass for a picture ;-)

I will probably go to Vegas at some point. I was just pondering options.. :)

yeah that wasnt my point...and no one is calling you a cockroach

the economics of her time cannot be split up between that many fans...it is priced a certain way, and it's Vegas where people go to spend money, most of the time losing $. Vegas is expensive anyways, it just is.

I mean Im not saying its perfect or ideal, but M&G are weird anyways so I understand why only very serious people would invest. If you cant afford it, then its just not there for you...not to sound cruel but that service is not for everyone. Like not everyone who is a fan of someone will get to meet them, and the amount of paid staff whose duty is to organize the M&G's cost extra as well

It isnt her job to make sure each and every fan is satisfied,

Fair enough. I think the same about it. It's not for everyone. But think about this man: many other artists charge MUCH LESS money, and they are not only BIGGER stars, but also, way OLDER. Now at this point you may probably say "but Britney is Britney". And that would lead us to an unending discussion about what Miss Spears means to us. Anyway, check this out:

479 pounds for meeting Ozzy Osbourne. $813.10 for meeting the godfather of heavy metal, the founding member of Black Sabbath, an absolute legend in the world of rock. The man is 65 years old, and he is tired as fuck. But he was in Costa Rica very recently and blew or fucking brains out with a magnificent performance along with Megadeth. They are super stars with zillions in the bank, but us fans are not. So some of them try to lower the cost to treat their fans. Is it their obligation to make all fans happy? Of course not. But some of them run the extra mile.

My little sister was going to M&G Demi Lovato in Panama for $250 this year (to her disgrace the concert was canceled) but you can see where I'm driving at. I just feel that Brit's M&G cost is astronomic. But yeah, as you say, I guess I am part of those guys who don't have any chance of seeing her, ever.

Just my honest opinion man, I do respect your point of view. After all that's what we do in a forum; sharing ideas.

Like I get that completely, but rock n roll fans are different than popfans. Rock consistently dominates the top concerts of the year, partly because of the huge wealth in establish live acts. People go to hear guitars live and every other instrument. And I am first and foremost a rock guy myself, but Ozzy, the Stones, Kiss, ACDC, Metallica, whoever you name has not reached the celebrity level of Britney...specifically I mean her celebrity apart from the music. Metallica is huge, but never was the fever pitch for their success as dramatic and intertwined w culture like Britney's. There are more pap pix of Britney alone than of all of the rock bands I listed combined, each member of the band included. Therefore she cannot go places and her freedom is limited by constant interactions w people who know her, swarm her, approach her. I mean, she needs round the clock security. When was the last time you saw James Hetfield, or Lars, or Mick Jagger on the tabloid front pages.

These legends we are discussing are kinda incomparable because even if they have sold more or influenced more bands, they are worlds apart in fanbase. Rock fans go to concerts and mosh, drink, smoke weed, socialize, get rowdy, watch and listen to the band's every note...there is a way different experience...pop shows are theatrics, sing along, and dance...the atmosphere is way different. I kinda dont think they should be compared...the image of a popstar is cameras and glamour, while the rockstar image is a party dude down-to-earth, cool guy. So if the rockstar is marketed as such, then he wants to keep the image.

And none of the people you mention are playing Vegas, which is a huge point of mine. Vegas is super expensive anyways, people go there expecting to blow money, etc.

The 250 price for Demi Lavato seems really steep to me because she is in a phase of her career where she needs to build up fanbase. Britney M&G's have always been cheaper than they are in Vegas...and for the bulk of her career she over-worked herself to high demands, and spent tons of time w fans. There could never bee enough fans that would want to meet her. If she priced it as very affordable then she could be there til 5 in the morning...and let's face it many of her fans are creepy weird. The fact that her fans are that creepy says something about her star power. Metallica M&G would not sell for 2500...Britney's will. Her promo team has a magic formula for the price and it includes paying Fe, photographer, and everyone else who organizes it.

Plus, being Britney is only something she understands...as the most swarmed photographed people in history I would imagine it gets overwhelming to deal w so many people and the small conversations.... and not knowing them but they know you is a weird thing non-famous people dont get.

I agree, its super expensive. But if I cant afford that service, I dont buy it and I move on. Britney isn't doing anything wrong as I see it.

No, because the Mickey Mouse Club was an American program. I live in Costa Rica, so I never had any chance of watching any of that when I was a child... until many years later via YouTube.

But I can tell you, I became a fan since 1998 when BOMT was played on radio. A sunny afternoon when I was washing a car. It's a hell of a story... it's around there in some post :)

Cool !!! Are you in a band?

I formed a band with my younger brother back in 2007. A cover band. We play bars mostly, Almost every month we have little shows.

Brit is my beloved soft spot and none of my friends get the point of me following/loving her. That's heretic for them :)
