Hi guys,

Maybe this info is posted somewhere else, but let's give Universe folks a chance to respond and give this forum purpose!

So I have been for months trying to decide whether or not it was a good idea to fly to Vegas and attend Britney's show. I have never been to Vegas and only once in the US so I'm clearly NOT an expert. So there are many questions I have before I finally decide to purchase my ticket for the show. I would like to hear opinions and real answers that could help me out put things in good order.

One of my wildest, wildest dreams was to meet Britney personally. But hey, with the $2.525 they are charging, this is just OUT of the equation. Not only it's a way lot of fucking money, I consider that very unfair to loyal fans who have supported Britney for +15 years ever since BOMT was played for the first time in the radio back in 1998. But let's cut the shit right here. I have made many rants about the M&G thing in the past and I know no one gives a fuck about that anymore. So I will not make you waste your time reading another one. I just want to stress the fact that in the last couple months I have purchased this:

-3 PS3 games

-2 Xbox 360 games

-1 Wii game

-1 ddrum electronic drumkit ---> which is a big deal !

-20+ CDs

-All the collection of Angry Video Game Nerd DVDs. (7 in all)

-10 DVD movies and 3 DVD concerts (Megadeth, Stratovarius, Black Sabbath)

-1 DVD unit (the old one was giving me a hard time)

-Countless tickets to watch my favorite football team.

-New Pearl bass pedals for my acoustic drum set ---> this is such a great deal too!

-Countless pairs of drum sticks.

-A couple Britney posters (yes, Brit is always there).

-A portable FM radio (my stupid cell phone does not have FM radio goddammit !!!)

Take heed... 2 months! And I have spent around $2.000 in those things, which give me hours, and hours and HOURS of non-stop fun !

So spending $2.525 like in 45 seconds to meet a woman to say hi, get an awkward photo and be escorted like I was a fucking criminal immediately after does not sound like good business to me. So no way Jose.

Anyways, here are the questions, in order of importance:

1. The show: What can you take to the show and what not? Can you take pictures/videos with your cell or photo camera? Will a security guard will confiscate your stuff to give it back to you when the show is over?

2. The show: Does Britney ever go off-stage to greet the crowd? Is it possible to at least touch her hands/hair without giving away $2.525? The promo for this show promised that every night was to be a very intimate party between Brit and her fans. I guess none of this happens because then the M&G has no purpose whatsoever.

3. The show: Does Britney interact with fans during the show? And please, I'm not looking for the 'Lace and Leather' thing where she gets a guy on stage to whip his ass in front of everybody. Does she touch hands at least with the front rows?

4. The venue: Are there any cool props in the venue? Like a Britney wax doll or something like it that you can take pictures of with you? Are there any billboards or posters of Brit to do the same thing?

5. The venue: What stuff can you get at the Britney store? Is that inside or outside the venue? Please don't tell me it's only stupid clothing for girls, are there things like music, magazines, singles or stuff like that there?

6. The hotels: What's the best option for this? Staying at Planet Hollywood seems very expensive for me. Are there any back-packers lodges to stay in Vegas? Or maybe houses or small hotels which are of course cheaper? Seriously, this is very important.

7. The surroundings: Is there any theme park in Vegas? You know... roller coasters, roller coasters, roller coasters...

8. The surroundings: Is food expensive in Vegas? How about taxi cabs?

9. The time: For someone who profoundly HATES heat, when is the best time to pay a visit to Sin City? I am not expecting snow of course but I really want cold and fresh air.

Thanks for your answers guys. I really want to hear from YOU the experts :)

They barely control you, and no one has gotten their phone taken away from them yet, sooo

Hmmm, doubt it. But the M&G would still have a purpose... It's more personal and you get a pic! (though, I'd personally not pay for it)

3. The show: Does Britney interact with fans during the show? And please, I'm not looking for the 'Lace and Leather' thing where she gets a guy on stage to whip his ass in front of everybody. Does she touch hands at least with the front rows?

I don't know

4. The venue: Are there any cool props in the venue? Like a Britney wax doll or something like it that you can take pictures of with you? Are there any billboards or posters of Brit to do the same thing?

There are! Britney's iconic video outfits for example

5. The venue: What stuff can you get at the Britney store? Is that inside or outside the venue? Please don't tell me it's only stupid clothing for girls, are there things like music, magazines, singles or stuff like that there?

You can, and there are some cool male clothes too (trust me)

6. The hotels: What's the best option for this? Staying at Planet Hollywood seems very expensive for me. Are there any back-packers lodges to stay in Vegas? Or maybe houses or small hotels which are of course cheaper? Seriously, this is very important.

No idea!

7. The surroundings: Is there any theme park in Vegas? You know... roller coasters, roller coasters, roller coasters...

... I don't know xD

8. The surroundings: Is food expensive in Vegas? How about taxi cabs?

Still don't know

9. The time: For someone who profoundly HATES heat, when is the best time to pay a visit to Sin City? I am not expecting snow of course but I really want cold and fresh air.

It's in the middle of the dessert, so good luck with this one

You can take pictures and videos with your cell phone. i'm not sure about real cameras, I just saw people with cell phones and no one took anyones away. I took a bunch of pics and vids :)

No she never goes into the crowd, if you get in the very front you might be within touching distance, but I wouldn't recommend it, too much security lol

3. The show: Does Britney interact with fans during the show? And please, I'm not looking for the 'Lace and Leather' thing where she gets a guy on stage to whip his ass in front of everybody. Does she touch hands at least with the front rows?

No, she does not interact, she might wave to people, but run of the mill "how you doing vegas!" type of stuff

4. The venue: Are there any cool props in the venue? Like a Britney wax doll or something like it that you can take pictures of with you? Are there any billboards or posters of Brit to do the same thing?

In planet hollywood there is a ton of Britney signs and things like that all over the place, in the venue they have a bunch of iconic outfits that she has worn that are on display in glass cases that you can take pictures of and what not

5. The venue: What stuff can you get at the Britney store? Is that inside or outside the venue? Please don't tell me it's only stupid clothing for girls, are there things like music, magazines, singles or stuff like that there?

They have mens clothing, her perfumes, tons of cups, keychains, posters, they have all her cds, etc.

6. The hotels: What's the best option for this? Staying at Planet Hollywood seems very expensive for me. Are there any back-packers lodges to stay in Vegas? Or maybe houses or small hotels which are of course cheaper? Seriously, this is very important.

I stayed at PH which was really nice, but yes, expensive. There are some other hotels that you can stay at on the strip that aren't too expensive, just depends on your budget. If you get too far away though you will have to pay a lot more for a taxi. Not sure what your budget is, but the Luxor is a really nice hotel and it is actually pretty cheap compared to all the rest, or the excalibur is a good deal as well.

7. The surroundings: Is there any theme park in Vegas? You know... roller coasters, roller coasters, roller coasters...

Lots of roller coasters, NY NY hotel has roller coasters, if you go to Freemont Street there is the zip line, you could go out to the stratosphere that has like 3 rides I think. I'm not really sure about theme parks, Vegas is kind of like a big theme park on its own lol

8. The surroundings: Is food expensive in Vegas? How about taxi cabs?

Most food is pretty expensive. I didn't really look around too much, but if you can find some type of fast food within the hotels that would be your cheapest bets. The buffets are really expensive and most other food is pretty much sit down restaurants. Vegas is very expensive.  Taxis aren't necessarily super expensive, but depending on traffic they can add up to a lot of money.

9. The time: For someone who profoundly HATES heat, when is the best time to pay a visit to Sin City? I am not expecting snow of course but I really want cold and fresh air.

If you want to avoid heat go in late fall or early winter. that would be my guess. It can get really cold at night in the winter.

Hope that answers all your questions! :) Let me know if you have more!

i went to vegas on May 17th!

I went to GA Right and i was 2 ft away from her, she looked perfect and sometimes she smiled at us who were right in front screaming and i've seen a few concerts were she does touch people's hands but really it's worth it to just see her that close up!

The venue has her old outfits in glass boxes, like the TOXIC, CIRCUS, WORK BITCH and OOPS that youc an take photos with, also her face and name are EVERYWHERE in planet hollywood... the elevators have her face on them!

The Britney Store has really cool stuff, it's basically what's online though so you can check there and see if you like anything

I got 3 things and spent $150 but it was well worth it, they had cool clothes! i boutght a shirt the day before the concert so i could wear it

there's clothes (most items are unisex), keychains, her CD's, a tourbook, a WB cap, and like lights and stuff

You can take tons of pictures/videos whatever you want! they don't really care... I filmed almost the whole show!!

i stayed at EXCALIBUR which is right at the beginning of the strip, near the airport... and it wasn't too expensive but i met a fan from PANAMA who stayed at the TRAVEL LODGE it's right in betweent PH and MGM GRAND and it's perfect locations and everything, and it must be really really cheap!

i payed for a shuttle bus ($14 total) to pick me up and drop me off at the airport) it was a great investment

don't take taxis they're expenisve... you can walk most of the strip... I would recommend getting a 24 HR BUS PASS or A 3-day bus pass, because it's comfortable, cheap and you can get anywhere!!

there's rollercoasters on the strip at NEW YORK NEW YORK, and at the STRATOSPHERE... both are really cool! i did the ones at the stratosphere

food and drink is really expensive in vegas! i would stick to the 24 hour SUBWAY jajaja that's where i ate and just take a water bottle with you everywhere...

and it's always hot in vegas.

AVGN? Wow.. he's fantastic. I actually have his 7 DVDs :)

The movie is in the works but due to budget and other stuff it's going at a slow pace. Hopefully early 2015 we'll see it.

My favorite episode is "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties". Fucking awesome.

I also have a electronic drumkit, a DDrum. And my accoustic set is Pearl.

It's awesome to meet a fellow drummer. Funny stuff is that I am 98% heavy metal, and a little star named Britney shines in my life ;)

I don't know about sites... there are plenty of videos in YouTube about rudiments and things like that. Thay can be very useful.. I learned playing alone, without any lessons.. I just memorize songs and then play them with my band. I feel that you must have the rhythm in your veins to be a drummer.. it's not a matter of receiving lessons...

Welcome aboard dear drummer

No, I have NEVER played any Britney stuff in drums. The most "pop" music I have ever played in drums would be like Tears For Fears... maybe a couple Michael Bolton songs.. or something like that. But that is like 0.0000000000003% of my work in the drums.

It all depends on what you want to do with your drums. If you just want to play for fun, electronic drums have a lot of crazy sounds and effects that you can experiment with. For you to learn songs, you can play a CD and play along in your drums... eventually you will get the feel of the song and you will memorize it. You need a good ear to distinguish the sounds of the drums, for example, knowing when the sound is from the bass drum, floor tom, snare, bell, etc. If you are not able to make a distinction among those sounds yet, then you might want to set your drums in the standard tone and play drum by drum so that you get accustomed to the sounds. So maybe when you listen to songs you can interpret better what sounds or drums are being played.

Britney music makes me think about her, how awesome, sweet and tender she is and how much I fucking love her and desire to kiss her. I long for her. But such music is not for practicing/learning purposes.. at all.

I have a cover band and we play most known bands: Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Stratovarius, AC/DC... things like that. So I have to listen to a lot of heavy stuff to learn that type of songs. I play live in bars from time to time so I can't fuck it up. In my brother's wedding we played some Paul Mc Cartney songs.. very suitable music for the occasion.

As I tell you, it pretty much depends on what you do in terms of music. For me it's a very serious matter and I listen to music every day of my life, I have been able to make covers of around 500 songs.

Pop music hardly uses real drums sounds... you can listen to beats and some sort of rhythm... but those aren't real drums.. so it's not easy to make a cover of that because what you will play in your drums won't emulate the same sound of what you are hearing.

There are no rules dear. Music is beautiful in itself. You just follow your mood and your heart. The only wise advice I would give you is, try to play different kinds of music.. different speeds, different feels. Don't focus on one unique style... I play some Stratovarius for example to practice double bass drums and probably next month play some Green Day to get speed in my hands.

There are many drummer girls in YouTube. Some of them play like a thousand times better than me  :crying1:

Go for it !!!  :britneycryingdfcuerfsgi:

Hi guys,

Maybe this info is posted somewhere else, but let's give Universe folks a chance to respond and give this forum purpose!

So I have been for months trying to decide whether or not it was a good idea to fly to Vegas and attend Britney's show.
